So is "whitey" defined as someone who has stepped on people to get where he/she is? Better question; are all rich white people "whitey" under the assumption that they must have fucked someone over to get where they are or are there a seperate class of honest rich whites..

Let me say something that I think would answer both of your questions. The white dominated society, that I spoke of previously, benefits no one except the white man (or woman). I'm speaking of life chances, the opportunity of each individual to increase their quality of life, there's an inequality if you look at the opportunities afforded to white people and people of color. We live in a society that says every man (or woman) is created equal, but is that true, absolutely not. So the question of whether or not there is honest rich whites is totally irrelevant to the point I'm trying to make. My point is that the injustices done to the people of color of this country has placed the white man/woman in a more beneficial position because of their social status.

Initiative. I know where you're trying to go but if we examine history and put it into context we would know why alot of "my people" are poor, uneducated, and ununited.

That's part of it, however, unless you are part of the privleged few that owns the institutions thats used to oppress us I wouldn't say you have the power to oppress. You can be part of the majority group that benefits from this society, and not necessarily be part of the ruling class IE: the one's thats actually fucking us over.

This is a very GOOD book, written by a white woman, with emphasis on repairing damaged race relations and creating an environment of understanding and tolerance. I suggest you all read it.
