“The number of police on “Anti-looting duty” is over 1,500 officers” – That IS a fact.

we can be here all night and i cant do that cus ER's on tonight, but where did you get that 1,500 officer fact at? i do agree that 1,500 is way too much but i seriously doubt that is true.if you got it on the internet then its probaly a false number.i dont think its so many officers, and i also dont think its so much to protect from looting,i think its more to put some authority down............they got "rescue crews" who are trained in that area to do the rescuing, and they got po's who are trained in that area to do the policing............

and actually they brought rescue teams from Sacramento,L.A. and San Diego so the fact is that they are still rescuing............

as far as the national guard, you comment was generic, there was no backbone in it so i didnt understand.one might say it was cus of blacks, one might say the gov dont have there priorities straight, one might say they dont know what there doin.i agree it MIGHT be because its a predominately black city and most of'em are low income.im sure if it was in a rich area it would probaly be different situation............

Of course, because we all know that everything on the internet is false. I'm not even real buddy.

"He [Nagin] assigned 1,500 police to anti-looting duty. “The number of officers called off the search-and-rescue mission amounts to virtually the entire police force in New Orleans.”" - Associated Press

i dont think its so many officers
You dont think that nearly the entire police force is too much, considering the fact that people are DYING and need HELP.
Thats all for now, I'm out

You know what cracks me up? Remember 9-11? All over the news, poor poor dead people; damn those terrorists! Now, a lot of ppl died in the acts of 9-11 and I'm not trynna downplay that, but look at the coverage now? Oh, black folks is looting and DAMN GAS IS HIGH! WTF? Where's the "damn you God, you took out thousands of ppl's lives in one swift strike!" God sure is one hell of a terrorist huh? And then they go STRAIGHT to how high gas prices are.

I was watching O'reilly factor ( u gotta know ur enemy) and he actually CRITICIZED the mayor and said Guilliani led his city after 9-11. 9-11 happened in a CONCENTRATED area. If you went a few miles away from Ground Zero everything was good. On the otherhand, that whole area has no electricity, water, and dead folks floating in the river.

PRIVATE PROPERTY IS MORE VALUABLE THAN HUMAN LIFE.
Reminds me of what Spike Lee said about a pre-screening his film "Do The Right Thing" where the viewers were so mad that Sal's Pizzaria got burnt down, yet nobody even mentioned Radio Raheem getting killed. That mentality is just embedded in us as Americans in all aspects.

What the fuck is someone gonna do with electronics anyway? I saw pictures of people carrying big TV's above their heads while walking thru chest high waters. How far can you really walk in water carrying a TV? Where will you plug this TV in? There are no houses left, no electricity. I just don't get it...
