best buy or hastings.. FYE be gettin over on prices like an extra $5, the thing about it is though they have more underground selection, so I view them as a last resort. Props for havin the rarer releases though.

The shows is the best place to get the shit though.

I will add one thing- When I'm out of town I attempt to visit any place that isn't available in my town, so rarities are usually picked up there.
It doesn't make any sense going to a new place and visiting somewhere you have close.

F.Y.E.

If I do it online, it's usually CDBaby, Amazon, or RedRumMusic.

Depends on how popular the music, Tech I would go to bestbuy, a little more underground ya gotta go to Cutler's in New haven and if they dont have it gotta get that shit on the Inet, usually go directly to the record label's website

i've probably purchased 2 actual cds in the past year. CunninLynguists' Dirty Acres was one.... don't remember the other. In a world of mp3 players, inputs for mp3 players in cars (or cd mp3 players), i don't mess with physical cds anymore.

Mike's Compact Discs (local LV store), KMart, Nebraska Furniture Mart or Best Buy.

Sometimes, if the CD I want has just one version (ie., Usher), I will buy it at Wal*Mart because their prices will be cheaper than anywhere else. This is especially true when buying after the first week, when the CDs go back up to regular price. My wife is big on Country music (and has slowly got me listening to it as well!), so if she wants a CD, why not buy it from Wal*Mart? It's not like Alan Jackson, Josh Turner, Toby Keith and Randy Travis have profanity laced verses on their CDs. LoL :eyecross:

On a side note, I have a local "Mom & Pop Shop" that specializes in rare and hard to find music.
