huh...sure are some 'patriots' up on here.
i'll bet the bank the war in iraq, now looking to settle
into a low simmering vietnam, has VERY LITTLE to do
w/ protecting the freedom of americans here. i don't
grudge our soldiers for doing they job but i do find the
ease w/ which americans stateside take what they are
told w/out any question. it's ok, who's gonna win the
next 'american idol?'

i personally dont "take what im told" i just think its great that we went into a country (dispite some people not wanting us to) and whooped ass.

i personally hope we dont find weapons just to show that we can do whatever we want, justifiable or not

plus, i love hearing about innocent people die on the news.

@Chief

Chief---Pay no mind to the "foreign policy experts" sitting home free and relatively safe in front of a computer. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but your choice to put yourself in harm's way is, and always will be, greatly appreciated. You help rid the world of a Middle-Eastern Hitler who is responsible for the deaths of millions of people, and in the process, made this world a safer place. Bottom line, while people talked shit, you did homie....

It's all a matter of perspective. Some people feel the war in Iraq was justified because Iraq "could have" become a serious threat...

but then the argument becomes that the money is better served off in social programs at home.

it's so damning of a catch-22 -

no jokes over here homie..... i'm not sure what you're confused about.... if you're saying the war on iraq wasn't a war then we're looking through two different sets of eyes..... alot of americans died during my six months away from home..... that's nothin' to joke about homie.... i got 350 ridin' with me.... i'm sure all of them would rather be doing something other than sacrificing thier freedoms for the sake of the american people.... but instead of doing that they were out there with me puttin in work.... you can call it what you want to.... but people lose their lives everyday trying to keep america what it is today..... real chop
right on cheif. EDJ was busy drinking 40's, jacking off and playing video games while you were getting shot at, you could understand how he may have missed it. :dead:

yeah homie.... i feel you on that.... i'm not tryin to toot my own horn..... it's just that, the war that i was in was real.... the six months i spent in the middle of the ocean were real too.... i'd never try to give myself or anyone else more credit than is due..... but for someone to say "you're joking right" ya dig... it's not a game out there..... i learned to see life from a different angle.... by having alot of my everyday freedoms taken away i can see how many things i was taking for granted when i had those priveledges available.... you don't know what you've got till it's gone.... and some don't understand that saying until it's just that.... gone.....

but loki's right.... it's amazing how many people have no clue as to what goes on behind the scenes..... i joined the military for many reasons..... mainly to start a new life and get away from a life that was heading in the wrong direction.... with maturity comes stability and for me, letting go of my grips on the world for awhile has let me see that listening is more important than talking.... you can pretend to be in control of a country, your life, your spouse, your career, but in reality you only have control or your thoughts, your emotions, and your dreams...... world events aren't about black and white.... people need to learn to read between the lines.... my philosophy on the military is this..... in the streets you've bloods, crips... etc. that come together to stand up for what they believe in and to protect the people in thier group including their families and friends.... the military is very much the same but on a global level.... instead of flaunting red or blue.... we come out with red white and blue..... we may not always be fighting for what is "right" but what we are fighting for is a way of life that we have grown to need...... only our gang is repping a whole country.... and when the wrong colors are getting to close to our territory..... people get dumped on..... just as long as i can come home to the wifey and my true family.... i've accomplished just what i've set out to do.... protect my way of life.... ya dig?

hey, i'm glad there are so many that appreciate what the military does day in and day out.... i'm not gonna front and pretend like there aren't days i just wanna bounce out..... cuz believe me, i spend more time questioning what i'm doing than i do anything else.... but, i've taken alot away from my experiences thus far..... and it's given me the ability to fund my musical projects.... i'm in the navy for those that didn't know.... thanx for the love st. nick and everyone else.... there are many different ways to come up in life.... my decision to join the military has proven to be one way to lay a foundation and still work on my music.... there are still set backs.... but i'm not in the streets slangin' dope to make shit crack.... i'm just out there slangin' cd's.... i say to each his own.... i'm not the one to judge another man, i can only do me...

since i've been gone there have been alot of changes to the board and there are alot of members that don't seem to be too active.... i've met some cool folks on here and made tons of business connects.... the net is a good tool, it's just a shame that we get so many folks on here that don't share the same vision.... hopefully a year from now nobody will have to ask "where are they now" and have my name listed.... but only time will tell.....
