When and Why did the Bay start hatin on Master P?

did he go to the N.O under family related circumstances, and realise that to make bread, he had to turn out the rap scene, did he notice the potential and give some hood love, or did he just profit off an already good thing? or both.. and why not have someone posted up in the west for him? see, thats why I think somethin shady happened in tha bay. Or else he would have used both as an EQUAL outlet... and wouldn't have dumped the mobb shit and replaced it for the staple n.o bounce shit. He had a marketing MACHINE in the late 90's early 00's. its a shame he didn't want to involve tha bay... 6 years of music, and I think the average No Limit fan didn't have a clue..

when I first started listening to Master P in the mid nineties he was another West Coast Bay Area rapper to me. He even had a song called Niggas From Cali. He repped Richmond to the fullest. I can vividly remember him saying "Im From the Southside of Richmond". Like a true business man he saw an opportunity to get even bigger and he expanded. Back in the day he never denied that he came up in the Bay. I can even recall on the TRU album he said he was "the Ice Cream Man, the king of the Bay". I remember when TRU was like 7 or 8 people, King George, Cali G, Chilli Powder, Milk Man, Big Ed etc. Its funny now how most fans dont know the half. They think it started in the N.O.
