Ok, I know hes been consistently puttin out garbage for awhile now. I pretty much stopped listenin to him after Ghetto D. I seen C-Bo and 3X doggin him out recently on a DVD and I heard many songs dissin him after I stopped jammin him. Where does the hate come from? He was still out there tryin to help the west artists out. He put out 3 or 4 WC bad Boyz cds it aint his fault they didnt blow up off of it though. Hell he only made one compilation for the southern indy artists. The only person I can remember dissin him back in the 90s was Yukmouth on the second Luniz cd. So when did the rest of bay start dissin him? Basically was it after he had already fallen off?

Still doesn't make sense, cause even when he was talkin about the south, he was still mentioning Richmond in a SHITLOAD of songs. I don't understand this either, 'cause he was trying to boost it up along with New Orleans, it just didn't work...not his fault.

I think people are mad 'cause they credit themselves with teaching Master P the independent hustle, he did it right and got rich, and they're mad cause he didn't mention it. I dunno though. Anybody ever see Hustle & Flow? D-Jay claimed he knew Luda's character from High School, and it turns out he didn't. This shit happens a lot, so I'm skeptical on the whole shit...people like to claim shit that isn't at all true, and then a band of followers get behind them and start talkin' shit and hatin' the other cat....for no reason.

I agree with you alot of people are mad a P for learning the rap game and then bouncing down south. I bet anything on it that Saint Charles from SMG that used to be one of the Bay's biggest distributor is hot. I'm sure he and a few others taught P the game and he never mentioned their names. I also think people are mad because P didn't have any originality to his flows. He was always trying to sound like E-40 or C-Bo in a lot of his verses. That was one of the biggest complaints that I've heard. I can't knock him though. He did what he had to do to become successful.

Tunez PWP... let me school em for ya.
Master P: The biggest thief of the Bay. Back then, tha boy lived in Richmond and was tryna hustle his music like everyone else in the Bay. If your'e in the music business in the Bay, it's a giving you'll run into ya favorite artist ay any giving studio. Me, I landed in "K-Lou's" studio(don't know K-Lou... see I knew ya'll was too young).

Luniz were the "Ice Cream man" first, due to their Ice Cream Truck on gold ones, and there hit on Dru Down's first album. Master P came out with the Ice Cream Man album and tension started to grow. Meanwhile in Sac, Percy decided to go see C-Bo to make some moves thru SMG(Solar Music Group). Somewhere the deal went sour, and more tension grew. Than P makes enough money to leave the bay... and didn't come back for a long long long time. So... if you know anything about the Bay, or been paying attention to anything on these forums... The Bay hates it when people make money off of them, and they don't get no respect for it. So that's why P has no love in the Bay. When all that money was being made, the Bay wanted some recognition for giving him his start .............................................................................................. and they still haven't got it.

Some of them are mad that P didn't hand them each a million dollars and a record deal. Some of them are mad that P didn't say "I learned to hustle from <name goes here>". Some people are mad that P went down south and made a name for himself there. Some of them are mad that P became successful and their career didn't go anywhere. Some of them are mad because their jealousy overwhelms them. Some of them are mad because they're sheep and see other people being mad.

Too many cats think if you come from the bay, you gotta stay there forever. And if you ever make any money, you better give some to everyone who got their hand out, which is everyone.

Being a real hustler is in the blood man. It doesn't belong to any city. And for that matter, after all the silly shit I've seen & heard, I'm starting to think "hustler" means not getting kicked out of your apartment or having a cell phone in some corny broads name. Oh wait, I guess the cell phone would be called "pimpin".

Fa real, it's all "Hate" but if you from the Bay... they classify it as "understandable hate". He ain't stole shit from me, I congratulate him on his hustle. But if you from the Bay... like those I've came across... that's they're reasons... which are hella old. I'd hate to see some people still mad about that shit, I wondered what made O.G ask that question.

I feel alot of people are mad at P because he wouldn't come back to the Bay and help out artist. Alot of people had their hands out and ain't willing to work for shit. You know how friends come around when you become successful, but when you ain't got shit or doing something with yourself they are hard to find. P put money in alot of factors from the Bay's pocket. JT, 40, Lil Ric and even though C-Bo ain't from the Bay he gave Bo a 100 racks to do a song. Next thing I hear Bo and Yuk makin diss records about P. Shit take that 100 racks and make a smart investment. Quit fuckin money off on weed and flossin. P really don't owe nobody shit. Niggas can't stay local forever. I'm happy to see him doing well. Believe me I'm sure he wants to come back to the Bay to give back but how niggas act out here I don't blame him for not coming back.

I wondered what made O.G ask that question.
Well I seen this DVD with Bo and 3XKrazy dissin P and I was just thinkin how the fuck they gonna be dissin him when he tried to put them on the scene when he got a chance?

its cuz p fucked over everyone this shit hella old i guess you aint too "O.G."
Im from Texas homie and I was raised of that Bay shit since Born to Mack hit our area and I aint never heard of any legitimate beef they would have with him besides Yukmouth. So why dont you go ahead and name any Bay area cats P "fucked over"? Like the cat said before he was always shoutin out richmond, put out 3 WC bad boys cds even at the height of his popularity. So Im askin if there was actually a reason or if it was just jealousy. I can see from these posts that it was just jealousy thats all I wanted to know. Props to those who put their 2 cents in.

I feel you on that. I'm from Sac... not too far from Richmond & The Bay. I never liked Master P music.... nothing personal, it just wasn't my style. I was aware of the Luniz Master P thing, but that was about it. Around 1997-98 during the recording of my cuz'n album I met K-Lou. K-Lou produced majority of Master P's early music as well as some of his new shit. K-Lou has no beef with him, but when I'd be in the studio, someone would always look at his(P's) glossy on the wall and make a comment. You ever heard "Yukmouth's" first album, he has a skit talking bout how town nigga don't like him(Yuk) because he don't be in the town? It's the same shit, with Master P, everyone feels like he came up with them, blew up, and ain't been back. So yeah, it's jealousy.... . The Luniz thing is understandable.... but they started that on "Operation Stackola".... many albums later... and that nigga still on they mind. I can't let a nigga get under my skin like that to dedicate too many songs about they character. Is there a JT song out about Memphis Bleek stealing "Get Low" records from JT. And nobody say that Game shit is it.

Master P wasn't even FROM Richmond...the Bay is lucky he even tried to put shine out here at all. Dude was born in N.O, he came out here for a short time, opened a record shop, learned the rap game, and dipped. He had fam and folks out in N.O that he had to take care of. Sorry to say it, I would have done the same thing. I have to take care of my family and my real folks before I take care of somebody else who CLAIMS they are my people. Obviously folks didn't deserve it, because if you were his folks, you would understand his motives.

I was born and raised in the bay, I didn't leave yet, and I still get the least amount of love here. So, even though he tried to shine the light on the bay, I wouldn't have blamed Master P if he didn't try to help at all. A lot of cats out here will smile as long as you help 'em, and then say shit about you when you stop, or bash you when you stop...my own crew did that to me, and I have yet to do one faulty thing to them.

Yuk and Bo may have a legit reason to not like dude, but EVERYBODY jumped on the bandwagon so they could be a part of something.

...stole your high school crush's b-day present that you bought then he gave it to her and he fucked her first?

its the same thing...you'll be mad for life

the jack of the jackers lol

I know theres hella reasons folks got for not liking P after he bounced. For me? It was just a recognition thing.I aint sayin he had to say "oh I got alot of game from the Bay,hey thanks".He obviously was a natural hustler and that mixed with the scene out here at the time,he just knew where to go with it,he prolly had shit mapped out the whol time and I cant be mad at that cuz this fool blew the fuck up.The thing that I thought was wack is how when he first started claimin that South shit harder and started barely mentioning the Rich and after he blew up he NEVER acknowledged that city again until years later on that snoop song lol.It was like he never even lived out here and just repped NO like thats where he got his paper up when really he did that here THAN took it down south. It just seemed like,to an outsider lookin in, he in no way had any connect with the Bay and was skrate NO from jump.I thought that shit was weak.Imo it kinda reminds me how games bitch ass be talkin like dre found him flowin on a corner in compton somewhere.Except that game is sorry as fuck and didnt have mouthpiece or hustle to back him lol.I still got props for P cuz DAMN,he had shit on lock for a minute but just the fact that even cats in NO be thinkin he's straight NO and dont even no his history with the Bay is wack.
