only a handfull of people want certain cds, so once these people get a copy, there will be drastically less people bidding, and thus the price drops.
It just takes 2 people that want a cd badly to make the price go up

Especially on ebay we witness rare and hella expensive CDs drop dramatically in price every now and then. typically after some overstock or forgotten batches have been available. what's the most dramatic price fall you remember?

the one that comes to my mind is Ray Luv's Last nite CD-single that went from $100+++ to $2-3 in a few weeks a couple of years ago...
I'll say that The Gangsta Pat shit went way down.

I would be better to vouch for shit that was at rock bottom that went way up rather then drop... I stopped selling cds for a while and got a "real job" and now the economy is all fucked up I came back to the business and found that cds that were cheap as hell back in 05-06 are now going for decent money (example: DJ Zirk - Memphis Underworld, ELG - Hella Deep, Lil CS - Ghetto Classics, etc.) You could buy all of them for 5.00 each or less in quantity but now each is a 30+ dollar cd.

However, I was shocked to see the dip in Gangsta Pat stuff.....

The reality is anytime a rare is re-released the prices will dip.

Not really, some times you just gotta sit on cds for a while. You buy some shit and sell it a few years later.

If rappers only sold 3 cds they wouldnt be investing money into it.
