My first car car had a speedo of 85mph, and governed speed of 128mph, when I got a new chip, the governor was raised too 199mph, and the car would top at 160-165, not bad for a boxy buick regal, that only revs to 5000rpm, with a v-6.

BTW, a 94-96 impala will hit 150mph with a 3.73 rear gear, the stock 3.08 makes the motor bog down in OD, the Drag coefficient is .33, my Buick is .47, huge difference.

My Trans Am. I had to slow down because a guy about a 1/4 mile ahead of me merged into the fast lane for no reason. We were the only two cars on that stretch of highway.

A lot of cars aren't governed by speed ratings, but by RPM peaks to keep from damaging the motor and by drag from the aerodynamics of the car.

WERE U FIND THAT CHIP I NEED ONE FOR MY EL CAMINO ITS REGISTERS 85 ALSO BUT ITS ALL FACTORY I NEED TO LOOK INTO THAT (I KNOW IT HITS MORE THAN 85) CUZ IT ROLLS, BUT I WANNA GET INTO BEAST MODE (ALSO V-6)

Not me, but my homie had a Z28 he got clocked going 157 on the highway... Cop didnt even try to chase.. out in the sticks though so he knew who it was and showed up at his door the next morning. lol...

I got up to like 100 in my old Tahoe...

Aint even tried my G6 yet... pull back once I hit 100.

i would say about 125 in a 97 buick lesabre. i was working at winco in modesto graveyard shift 3 years ago, i had a knock wanting 30 pills from stockton and its like 1 am and he wasnt tryin to go to modesto.so on my lunch break i punched that scrape like a muthafucka i see cars pullin to the side of the road and shit to let me pass.i remembered waxing dude 20 a pill 2 and i was gettin em for 5 and shit lol..

shit man.. i cant wait to slap these parts on my 96 ss (dggm, the green one)

got some custom headers, new posi, and 3.73's... just put some 22" irocs... cant go wrong with those

i got my sentra up to 130 not for a 4 cylinder, that 2.5 wasn't no joke. I don't even think my POS explorer can top 100
