I listen to old shit: James brown "Funky good time"
Maybe Roger... but that only lasts for a few.
I just made a CD this morning for my brother who is a music producer. WHen I want to inspire him and get him back into his roots I always do this. On the CD I put:
1. Dogn the waz - Ice T
2. LL Cool J Go cut creator go
3. MC ADE Bass Mechanic
4. RUN DMC Jam Master Jay
5. Mantronix Fresh is the word
6. Skinny Boys Jock Box
7. Too Short Girl(cocaine)
8. World CLass Wreckin Cru
9. Ice T 6 inthe mornin
10. Whodini Five minutes of funk
11. 2 live crew - Ghetto Bass (rare, few words, all slow bass)
By the time he listens to that shit, he is rejuvenated and ready to make music.
But recently, somebody put up a thread about mobb music and I suggested that old song by e-40, B-legit.... Way Too Viscious. I been bumpin that for about a week now.
