What can u about it???????? make some better music for the masses instead of just for your region
Better music, you consider Nelly better music? In other words your saying make some gay ass songs that you and lil' 12 year girls will like and understand, so that you can get played on the radio? Fuck that, just cause you cant feel the West Coast Underground doesnt mean that its not good.

I am very interested on why Jesse james is goiing against what this very site stands for, UNDERGROUND RAP. Most people on this board would agree that you should find somwhere else to post because this is not your type of music apparently.

Still waiting to hear why Jessie Lames comes to this board....

Im sure Nelly got a fan board that youd fit right in...

Might even convince them youre hard or your Lyrical Nonsense is "talented".

FOR A GOOD LAUGH - CHECK OUT APT.3's NUMBER ONE GROUPIE, JESSIE LAMES' POST IN THE APT.3 FORUM. WARNING THOUGH - IF YOU HAVE A WEEK HEART, DONT READ HIS POST, ITS VERY BRUTAL.

Most of the talent is in the underground. Many of them dont get the kinda promotion and exposure they should be gettin and deserve. And to most people the shit they hear in the club and the most annoyin bullshit ass trax that come on like 40 times a day on the radio start to get to them. They listen to the shit about 40 times without even tryin to and you memorize it. So many people be like fuck it, they play it enough it must be tight. And most of the people supportin this shit could give fuck about REAL concepts and the struggles people have to go thru. They never had to go thru it they damn selves and wanna hear bullshit about shoes, dancin, beggin bitches to take you back, cryin, whinin and complainin. And as long as the lamest muthafuckas keep gettin the most exposure and promotion, it will continue. Thats how the dice rolls homie, the games a trip. =%~dRoP iT=%~

The problem with hiphop is YOU. Whenever an artist changes his style, everyone bashes him, calls him wacc or whatever. Then you complain about people doing the same shit over and over. What do you want? Also another part of the problem is the dumbasses who ONLY buy music from a certain region. There have been some tight albums come out this year, Devin, Scarface, Tech N9ne, Jay-Z, Eminem, Kaoz The Assassin, Nas (lost tapes), Mac Mall, E-40, have all put out solid albums. Some of those album were great albums. You can't expect everything to be a classic and you can't give everything high expectations. When you listen to an album don't think about how tight the last one was or do any comparing because then you are going to needlessly degrade your opinion of the quality. If you compare an album like 'Grit And Grind' to 'In A Major Way' then it's no competition and not very good. On it's own with no comparisons or expectations, 'Grit And Grind' is a solid album. Ya'll need to stop expecting so much, if you continue to set unreachable expectations for these artists you will continue to be disappointed.

^^^I hope that wasnt directed at me cuz I pretty much agree with most of what you just said. lol And in numerous threads I say that I support anybody who does they thing in the game, underground or not. But yet there are alot of underground artists with much more talent than many mainstream artists. Some might agree and some might now, but its my opinion. If they had different names, better promotion, and exposure, they might achieve the same success as the ones who are all over the place now. Every artist has their own approach to the game and I respect that, let them get theirs the best way they can. I cant hate them for that and I wont. but who says its wrong for me to spend my money on the music that appeals to me? If I dont like somebodys music, I wont buy it, simple as that. But that dont mean I dont listen to everyone out there, thats a dumb move.
If you dont whos all out there and recognize all the talent and the other approaches to the game, you could be missin out on alot of shit. And I wasnt complainin about nobody doin nothin over and over. What I meant was that each artist has they own quality, style, and approach to the game, thats what makes them unique. And there are some people out (both underground and mainstream), who are more talented than those you hear everyday. But they dont get the attention that they should be gettin. I dont hold no high expectations or expect every album to be a classic, I dont worry about it, so I wont be disappointed cuz I expect each artist to be themselves. An artist will come how they feel. Each album has its own quality, for example "Season of da Siccness" and "Loaded" are both classics. But each album has a different uniqueness about it which stands out, and Loaded was unexpected, but many believe it may be tighter than Season of da Sicc. I think they both pretty even, and thats my opinion. Not everybody agrees with each other.
But yet if I listen to somebodys music and I'm not feelin it, I wont buy it. I got that right and choice to spend my money on what appeals to me. Like somebody who gets fired from they job, they can sit around and bitch about losin it or try to get another one, one worth their time. I listen to probably everything that comes out, but I dont buy everything, I buy the music that appeals to me. And all of them albums you named in your post I agree are worth a listen and worth buyin. I dont/wont buy everything from every artist, but I do take notice and respect them all as artists. And if I feel that there is someone on the corner, or in jail, or underground who has more talent than somebody else, I will say it, its my opinion.
Yet because you sell a couple million records doesnt mean you have more talent than people who havent, I'm pretty sure many would agree on that point. I might not like everyones music but I do respect them as artists, and for contributing their piece to the game. =%~dRoP iT =%~

I honestly dont see how a true fan of hip hop could bump Nelly. I aint tryna hate, Im just breakin it down honestly: The beats he raps over are trash...on the verge of being some beats you'd hear on a N'Sync cd (plus, he gets NO props for doing a song with them fags), his style is just annoying with that singy, anthem-like, pop rap style...and his lyrics have no creativity or intelligence behind them at all. So basically his music is the OPPOSITE of what real hip hop fans are supposed to appreciate.

And I agree with Tim...people need to quit buying Siccmade albums hoping for another "Season of da Siccness"...or E-40 albums expecting another "In a Major Way". Deal with the fact that the mid '90s is gone and isnt coming back. Start appreciating what rap of today has to offer...better sound quality, more complex styles, much more creative lyrics, etc. Be positive!

i dont like that song

not coz its about shoez, aint nuthin wrong wit makin a song bout yo shoez, if you a rapper you should be able to rap about watever the fucc you want, but most of the people that like the song is coz they like air force 1's and prolly not coz of the lyrics or how tyte the foo came on the track... thats what mainstreem rap is reallly

they find a thing that a lot of people like n they make a song about it which those ppl will feel coz they like it, have it or want it

for example cars n shit, money, hoes,
am not mad at the mainstream for makin songs about money, shoes, cars n shit,
most of em are in the game to make money, and if singin bout the same shit over n over gonn bring em money, ofcourse they gonn keep doin it.

same wit the missy e song, to me that song shows no talent but its a fuccin hit....why? coz its bout sex (sex sells) n its catchy

the song that really pissed me off was the dr. dre song "super ugly" to me that was the wackest rhyme i ever heard on a song. wat the fucc was that?? "yeaaa... i just took some ecstacy.....and i got two fine bitches next to mee....blah blah blah and to hear ppl go ohhh shit this song is the shit err time it comes on the radio pissed me off. even my friendz that listen to underground were bumpin that shit.. only coz it was bout bitchess...

these foos are givin the people wat they want... and it dosent take talent to do that. i mean i guess thats smart for their part, i mean they are gettin rich off of it right?

but this shit prolly aint lastin long. at least thats wat i think,
hopefully am right.
