I have a couple of them, the ColdSteel one I have is cool but a little on the thin side. Ontario ones are nice cuz they are thicker (.125) than most of the ones you'll find. I'd pick up one of them.

other than that they are legal to carry in your ride as long as u convince the cop that u use it as a tool for cutting bushes, but if u tell the cop that its for self defence then he could confiscate it.
