I would have to say Chino XL (as a hip hop inspiration). His lyrics, originality, honesty, and general talent are what give me hope in this fucked up world we call hip hop!

As for other avenues of inspiration, I would have to list and describe the following artists.

Prince (and the Revolution) - because he is so eccentric, it's actually quite refreshing to see him perform!

Michael Jackson - I can care less about the child molestation charges, his moves and his older songs are dope!

Flock of Seagulls, A-Ha, Culture Club, various 80's pop stars - because the fact that they can express themselves in a colorful manner as they have, I credit the creativity they posess which is a very rare quality today and I try to open myself to that kind of artistic outlook.

Marvin, Barry, Chuck, Issac, Al - I can't argue with old school R&B. Their music has a nice groove to it that not many artists have today. You can't immitate the kind of flavor these dudes posess!

Ms. Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, various lounge artists - The art of lounge is a lost form today! I hope to perform one day with that kind of smoothness and suave!

The Bloodhound Gang, Wierd Al, Organized Rhyme, Milli Vanilli - I like comedy too

About Pac, I guess you can say that there are different aspects of inspiration and aknowlegement that come from different people concerning Pac. Some people apreciated him before his Death Row Career, but sadly most people only recognized him after "death".

I don't consider Pac an inspiration to me at all, I mean I respect the dude but I do not draw my concepts and ideas from him. I myself like his material before "All Eyez On Me", I mean I feel that when he was alive with Death Row, his material was more pressured as opposed to him before signing. I mean his post death albums even sound fake to me because even though the lyrics are still real, the beats and everything else had been changed on them to fit the times. Especially when they add features on them that never even met the guy, that seriously pisses me off.

The fact is that even though some of the material released after his death was never touched or remastered, I still feel as if something isn't quite right with these albums as opposed to the ones he did before Death Row.

I myself especially feel his Thug Life album the most, and everything else after that just seems artificial!
