I've been watching a gang of movies and I got hella good recommendations on deck. I though this thread was dead tho so I didn't make notes. I'll conjure up a few

When Cage was legit good, not ambiguously good. Really great film.

Another film by the same director. Linda Florentino was so hot in her day

Surprised this movie isn't more well known. Solid crime flick about a jewel theif, with a cool 80's synth score by Tangerine Dream, and directed by Michael Mann

Used to watch John Singleton's 3rd Movie -Higher learning. As a kid I thought I was watching some real crazy shit. Maybe for it's time it was kinda racy with the racial commentary but....

This movie is GARBAGE. Terrible acting. Weak ass repetitive dialogue. Unnecessary scenes. Unnecessary characters. etc. etc. etc.


Higher Learning does not stand the test of time.

I watched like ten movies this weekend. Anyone ever see Enemy? I never been so confused by a ending in my life. Wtf happened? I saw Lego movie I actually enjoyed it I thought it was gonna suck. I saw Joe with Nicholas Cage it was ok I guess. Non Stop was alright. Reasonable doubt kinda sucked. Can't remember what else I watched.

I just watched Edge of Tomorrow with my wife. It was better than expected, but still not good. I can't stand Tom Cruise though so maybe some of y'all would like it more than I did but I kept hearing how good it was and fell for that yet again.

I actually didn't know that going into it but the preview I had seen looked miserable but 4 different people told me that it was "actually really good" which was a lie. I've definitely seen worse movies but what Mike said is exactly what it was but maybe slightly better than the worst Transformers movie and less corny, whatever that's worth.
