What mics ya'll got for recordin vocals?

between akg's c3000b and rode's ntk, which one is cleaner and more dynamic??

imma pickup a ntk also... just wanna know if any one has or worked with both...

The NTK seems to be best suited to deeper male voices. I dont own one, but a local studio that I go to ( this cat taught me alot of what I know, smart is an understatement for him ) use's one and he played me a couple of songs that he used the NTK for vocal's and I was pretty impressed. I'm thinking about picking one up myself since I record a couple of cats with real deep voice's on a regualr basis.

SO WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE MARSHALL MXL 2003 MIC??? CUZ YOU CAN GET THAT RIGHT NOW FOR BOUT $140, AND I THINK ITS A GREAT MIC, I LOVE THE VOCALS I GET FROM IT, I CANT BELIEVE HOW CHEAP IT IS... I RECORD SINGERS AND RAPPERS, AND EVERYONE ALWAYS COMPLIMENTS ME HOW GOOD THEY VOCALS COME OUT.... I HAVE A JOE MEEK VC1Q PRE AMP WHIC IM SURE HELPS, BUT EVEN THAT AINT THAT EXPENSIVE BOUT $400-500.... BUT LIKE SPICE 1 RECORDED HEAR AND SOUNDED JUST LIKE HE DID WHEN HE WAS ON JIVE.... IS IT CUZ I KNOW HOW TO USE MY EQUIPMENT AND KNOW HOW TO MIX, OR IS THAT JUST A UNDER RATED MIC???

Same responses here... This mike can get a little high on silibance and shy on bass (where the Neumann shines) but it is a workhorse.... Definitly worth the $100

^^^ that is true, however thats why my pre-amp has a eq on it.... so i cant really go wrong...
