the actual music is one thing, but for me i gotta feel what the artist is speaking on. that shit gotta make sense, gotta be real, and gotta be something i can relate to. sometimes it's cool to knock a sick beat, but that shit can be embarrassing if the artist is spittin some bullshit, hokey ass shit. coming with some weak ass shit, making me ask "what the fuck are you talking about"?

that's why i like what woodie puts out. beats are solid. delivery is on point. lyrics are golden. true messages are being delivered in woodies lyrics. you can tell that shit comes from the soul. and the man is talking about shit that is actually relevant.

Im surprised that no one has said this yet but I think that one of the biggest reasons that make people actually want to buy a persons cd is their image that they project being lyrically, physical appearance, who they hang out with, what their financial status appears to be like, what other people think of them and also what their street rep is like. Who wants to listen to a dopefiend, no one except college white kids and nickatina but what if the bay thought keek was a base fiend would they still be on his nutz.
