I listen to Jazz a lot. Really started getting into it about 4 years ago, but for the past year or so, it has become the dominant genre of music I listen to. What Jazz are you listening to?

For the past week or so I've been listening to

Brad Mehldau - Highway Rider
Stanley Clarke - The Stanley Clarke Band
Maurice Brown - Cycle of Love
Dana Hall - Into The Light
and
Keith Jarrett/Charlie Haden - Jasmine

I love Jazz, I'm just not that familiar with it.

Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue is the best jazz album ever.

I like Kind of Blue but it is not the best in my opinion. Its the Jazz album people who dont listen to jazz regularly buy tho.

Im not huge into Sun Ra. If you like Sun Ra you should look into Thelonious Monk. Ra is like an extension of monk.

John Coltrane was at his best when he was on heroin, as fucked up as that sounds. No one could fuck with him when he was on that shit....untouchable.

My favorite album of 2010 by my favorite musician

Rudy Van Gelder came out of retirement to produce/engineer this album and his touch made it an instant classic.
