Actually... I have faith that he'll do a good job with it. I dont think he'll fuck it up.
There's some things he needs to take note of though.
For instance, all the Halloween after part 2 sucked. and for a reason. Michael Myers became a monster instead of a human.
In the first one (and when I say first, I mean part 1 and 2 since they were shot simultaneously), Michael wasn't a superb killer. He was clumsy and awkward. He always held the knife at a 45 degree angle right below his waste with the blade pointed up at him. If you notice in parts 4+ (part 3 had nothing to do with him), he held the knife over his head with the blade pointed down. In the original, whenever he presented himself to someone (when he wasn't doing it in a peeping tom fashion), he always looked a bit startled himself, raising his arms to his sides like a cowboy that was about to draw his pistols. He NEVER killed anyone with his first stab. He was thin and boney with an awkward frame. In all the sequels he was a fucking muscular beast. And when he walked in the original, he walked like a cautious human, not like a derranged monster.
This is the shit that made the original great. Rob needs to pay attention to these minute details if he wants to make a good film.
