Don't get me wrong. In no way am I hating or hoping that this video doens't blow up all over MTV and BET. All I'm saying is, what if? If you think about it, Bay Area's commerical success is pretty much riding on the success of this video. With Lil Jon backing E-40, along with the Hyphy movement, this is biggest opportunity for a Bay rapper to blow up on a mainstream level.
The way I see it, if this video isn't successful on BET and MTV and radio stations across the nation, it could be a major step backwards for Bay Area's mainstream success.
If this video does blow, not only will it mean success for E-40 and Keak, but it would open doors for a lot of Bay Area rappers, in the same way as Still Tippin' opened doors for the South's massive movement. E-40 and Keak are the biggest names in the Bay and have the most mainstream appeal, and if they fail to deliever with this video, would it lead to another era of depression in the Bay Area rap scene?
