My question is this, how can one man be the head of the church? Also I was reading that back in I think it was the 1400s (ill look it up when i get a chance) the pope was the only person alowed to own a bible; thus making him free to control the way people worshiped. He then started having followers refer to him with the very titles of deity and claimed that the only way people could talk to god was through him. My personal feeling is that the pope is the hand of lucifer...... I will elaborate further when I get a chance.
Catholics argue that Peter was the first Pope.
They have a good point since Jesus said Peter was the "rock".
He was instructed to build a church which would be the body of Christ and Peter would be the one over-seeing things.
But the problem is that the Catholic church has abused this system. As you pointed out above. Well actually it's the first time I hear that allegation because the 1400's are well after the church reformation headed by Martin Luther. Everyone had their own copies of the scripture by then. But any how, the Catholic church did fall under corruption, thus the Protestant movement.
(There's a movie playin in certain theaters about this, it's called "Luther" i think....)

I just wanted to get my point accross, Jesus did instruct the people to build a church. And this current Pope is a good man, unlike what most people would lead you to believe.
People ignorantly vilify him because he's an easy target.
This Pope has done a lot for the Catholic church and it started with the Pope before him. This Pope repaired the gap between Jews and Christians that past Popes widenned.
And the current Pope has opposed just about every war, including the unjust US and Iraq war. A war supported by millions of so called Christians here in America.
And here's the thing that seperates him from most people, he forgave the guy who nearly shot him to death.
How many people do you know would've done the same?
It takes more balls to forgive your enemies then it does to kill them. Let alone an enemy who shot you....
Now Jesus's message was that we should love our enemies and pray for them. In hope that we can change their hearts in order for them to find salvation. The Pope helped this man reach salvation by showing him the love of Christ through him, by forgiving him. Jesus said that the Angels in heaven celebrate every time a fallen person is saved....
Knowing what I've read from the bible, then I can safely say that this current Pope is a good man....

But hey, going back to what I said earlier.
Any system can fall under corruption, it's a matter of time.
Will the next Pope be a step in the wrong direction, or in the right direction? We shall see....

The clubs out here is cool nothin special tho. Best part is there aint no real drama so you can relax. As far as the Black community goes most the brothas and sistas I ran into are either in the military or on vacation, but the ones that live here is hella cool.
