I know people with 80k type luxury vehicles with dope sound systems and rims. The problem here is they live in cheap apartments or live with their parents. I dont say nothing because that will make me sound like straight hater but I was just confused about some peoples way of thinking.

Id rather drive a paid off, 1989 corolla that I know how to easily maintain. Going home in a 2006, 3 bedroom, suburban home and a dope theater system.

smash in the car and say your mansions under construction when you really live with moms

Look at it this way, get a 80k car when you're young because its when you will enjoy it the most. I love driving up and down the ca coast and listening to music, its even better when you're doing it in something nice. If you get a house you can say good bye to a lot of shit because you will have to buckle down like a muthafucka! a house is a 20-30 year responsibility where a car is a 5 year responsibility. Look how much people gave up enjoying things like cars, trips, and any other type of material shit due to investing in a home and they're now dealing with foreclosures and will probably never be able to enjoy that 80k car they always dreamed of owning due to fucked up credit. My point is live your life like you like to live it, don't do shit because it's what the people around you think is the "smart" thing to do. Also I'm not saying you should be buying a $80k car if you're still living at your parents house, but if you're happy to have a shitty apartment to yourself and own a $80k car then by all means do you. This life is not guaranteed to nobody, so if I die tomorrow I don't want to go out knowing I never got to enjoy riding the car of my dreams or visiting Rio De Janiero due to being locked down with a house I'm struggling to maintain. Of course The best situation would be to make a living for yourself where you can enjoy the $80K car and the house, but realistically most people would be lucky to enjoy one of those two things.

Thats because they are dumb ass motherfuckers with small dicks and brains just like Butcher said. Those people who bought new homes during the boom put that on themselves and got mouth pieced by loan officers. Knowing dam well they couldn't afford those homes, they got pre-approved anyways and got excited.

yea they lived life to the fullest but guess what. They didnt die. Now they're stuck in some motel, friends basement or whatever. Stuck with bad credit, no house and suffering from depression because they decided to "live life."

I understand you philosophy tho but that should apply to a person who worked his ass off and is now retired.

All valid points, I'm not saying you're wrong or that you don't have your priorities straight. I'm just a strong believer in people doing what makes them happy, if that means blowing $80k of their hard earned money on a S500 while still living in their grandparents basement then so be it.

Also about the retiring thing, I'm not anywhere near 50 or retired but it always makes me laugh when i see old cats in 60,000 dollar corvettes. It almost makes me think "what a waste" to see a 80 year old in a mercedes AMG doing 60mph on the freeway. Its like yeah he gets to retire and enjoy life but i just think I will enjoy a mercedes AMG a lot more in my 20's and 30's then i would in my 60's and 70's.

I see your point though its a thin line between living in the now and blowing off your future. Fuck around and end up homeless at the age of 40.

Lol u r taking it way to the extreme
It is very irresponsible imo to buy a luxury vehicle before u buy a home imo.
But bro like lisicki said young cats mainly get cars like that to get hoes, and that's the first thing a broad notices is your car. Everything else is meaningless if u have a luxury car. Only professional, classy women want someone with both. Its really gve and take. Get a cheap car but spend all your doughon ur house or get a nice car and get a roommate or live with your parents.
If I wanna bang some hoes I'm gettin an escalade truck with tvs in the headrest lol house can wait!

lol i just said that to be a jealous hater asshole for laughs. like anybody could really know if all those people had small brains and small penises.

i think it just comes down to peoples personalities and the psychology that advertisers exploit and bombard upon the consuming public. advertisers want you to feel inferior, worthless, less than others, less sexy because you drive old shitty cars. they want you to buy their new expensive cars so you can feel like a better person and feel confident, feel like you can get all the hot chicks. its hard to know if the people who buy the flashy cars without considering more important priorities have fallen into that trap and are exploited by that particular basic Freudian psychology of satisfying humans' primitive subconscious selfish and aggressive and sexual forces in order for those advertisers to profit, or if these persons already realize whats going on and they just want to live it up and enjoy it anyway because they live in the now and dont look toward the future. these answers can certainly be applied to masses of humans as a whole, but that is not to say that there arent particular individuals with their own unknown motivations.

in short the answer is too complex, but you should watch a documentary that i posted in the open forum a very long time ago if you truly want to gain a better understanding of these particular problems: Century of the Self.

here is episode one to get you started;

I totaled my 2000 Subaru Outback going through the "crossover" in Golden Gate Park. Yes, it was a lesbian car (smelled like horses, they owned a ranch) but I paid $2k for it, with super low mileage on it and got $7k from insurance. So glad I had full coverage. Point being, I have my apartment, but living in the city I'm considering not buying a car yet. But I still need something to smobb in so I'm looking.

There are many people who do this actually.

They drive an expensive car and live in a dump, sitting on empty beer crates and eating dry bread 3 times a day.

But at least they feel they got status when they drive down the road in that expensive car.
