what do you think about Arnold taking away licenses?

there was a lot of protesting/boycotting today because of the governor taking away driving licenses from non-citizens. at the elementary school i work at a lot of kids werent at school because their parents couldnt drive them. and a lot of businesses were closed because they didnt have enough people working.
what do you think about Arnold's decision?

i would have fired any person who worked for me who didnt come to work because of this silly protest.

i think it was a great one, he kept his word. he said that he was going to do this and people voted for him in part because of this.

Not too many distractions, and that's how it should be. Oh, and Arnold made the right decision. If they were able to get themselves and their children here from Mexico somehow, then I am sure they can get them to school a couple miles away.

PS- you all obviously do not know what a "non-citizen" is. it doesnt mean you're an illegal immigrant it just means you have not yet obtained your citizenship.
I know a lot of families who work their asses off at 3 jobs and then go to school at nights plus send kids to school who are trying to get their citizenship, and its a burden to not have a license. i cant believe you would actually support deporting them..

but that's the thing, they DID have them before Arnold. Gray Davis passed a bill that allowed them to have drivers licenses, and then Arnold repealed it when he came into office. so naturally theyre angry because the government gave them something and then said nevermind we're taking it back.
