^just an open topic in the open forum, calm down...

Yeah, that's cool nobody's trippin', but c'mon!

Extra money, over time and benifits over the old job and still gotta ask what to do?

I understand it's the open forum and the internet, but damn...that right there is a given.

I wouldn't think about it twice. On top of that, look at the big picture. He had to apply for the job cause he probably heard they were paying more and benifits were kick ass plus over time, so yeah he was in search of a better paying job.

Or he applied like crazy at jobs paying in the range that he was looking for and took the first that knocked, in hopes that if the better paying job called, he'd take it.

Then again, I'm just being a fuckin' ASSHOLE! LOL!!!!

Seriously speaking though, it does no good to have a good paying job if your gonna be miserable. Weigh out where you think you'll be satisfied and seek if there is room for growth in the company your at.

I would stay at Fedex. I know a few people who have been working there for years, and it seems like it has paid off. They have all worked their way up from the courier status to managerial, and executive positions. You have to start somewhere. Figure out what you want to do the rest of your life, and see which career choice gives a better path for success.
I would agree with this.

Besides, I know for a fact that OfficeMax's are closing down. Now, the one you'd be applying at is probably staying open - but, for how long?

FedEx ain't going nowhere and you have the ability to advance there.

Those longer hours may not be what you want. How ready are you to go home working the shift you work now? If you are content where you are, as far as you can get through the day not in misery, that's a big plus. It won't do no good to take the job if you end up hating your life working too many hours. If none of that is an issue, then consider it.

THANKS FOR SOME OF YALLS INPUT BUT I FEEL I SHOULD'VE EXPLAINED THIS TOPIC MORE SO HEAR IT IS... FEDEX GROUND IS A GOOD COMPANY BUT IT'S ALSO VERY DEAD-END ASWELL THERE IS NO REAL ROOM TO ADVANCE THERE.. MAYBE IN OTHER CITIES BUT NOT IN KANSAS.. AS FAR AS PAY IS CONCERNED FEDEX OUT HERE STARTS OUT AT 10.00HR BUT THE MAX IS 12.00HR SO YEAH I'M LOOKIN FOR MORE MONEY BUT FEDEX IS PRETTY COMFORTABLE AND EASY GOING ATMOSPHERE.. THATS NOT EASY TO FIND NOW DAYS AT JOBS.. NOW SOME SAY WHY AM I THINKIN SO HARD ABOUT THIS WELL MY MAIN REASON WAS THE FACT THAT I HAVE BENEFITS ALREADY AND I DIDN'T WANT TO LOOSE THEM BY QUITIN AND WORKIN SOMEWHERE ELSE NOT KNOWIN IF THIS NEW JOB WOULD WORKOUT.. SO I'M BEING CAREFULL ABOUT MY MOVE ON THIS.. HOPE SOME OF YALL CAN UNDERSTAND WHY I'M THINKIN ABOUT THIS.. BUT THE UPDATE NOW IS THAT I'M READY TO MAKE THIS MOVE TO OFFICEMAX CAUSE SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO TAKE CHANCES IN LIFE SO WE'LL SEE YALL WISH ME LUCK... IF YALL HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR ME FEEL FREE TO ASK...
