What do y'all do when you hear gunshots?

I had one instance where I was coming home with my son one night and I took him out of his car seat and as I was pulling out his bag I heard shots. that was the scariest thing for me, just cuz he started he was walking towards the house. I swooped him up and ran to the side of the house and waited till I didn't hear shit. he had a confused look on his face and was asking what the sound was :ermm:

see, im expecting my first child next month and the other day someone let off about 14 shots right in front of where his room. I've grown up around this kind of thing, but seeing my girl scared like that, and thinking about my son being in the room in a little while, I'm startin to rethink the whole living situation. I know it can happen everywhere, but recently its been escalating by my house so I'm looking at other options right now.

on a serious note, what would make y'all call 911? or are y'all "too hood" for that? I kinda thought about calling the cops last night, but then I'm like fuck that, I don't want them coming to my house questioning me and having somebody see that shit like "oh, he's snitching, we'll handle him later".....but if I see someone leaking or something like that where there's a person in trouble i'll call and try to help, not on some "get the people who did this" but more on a "get this person to a hospital" type shit

Lots of gunshots round here...you'll hear 'em about 2-3 times a week. The past 2 years someone has died from a falling bullet on New Years Eve, one was a 70yr old guy just standing outside with his friends a few blocks away.

These past 2 weeks, ive been hearin' hella shots in tha "Beverly Hills" area. Idono y niggaz seem 2 get all trigger-happy during the summer. Best thing 2 do is 2 get low/on the ground, but I usually don't bother doing anything different when I hear 'em. it depends how far away it sounds 4 me. If it's a block away or so, then I might jump on tha ground, kuz of strays.

yall remember the and one game two years ago in oakland, well after the game people started goin crazy and people were beatin the shit outta each other outside and we saw this one fool just gettin stomped on by like 20 people, and the cops were tryin to break shit up and we started goin towards our car and we saw this one fool just start sprintin past us and we were about to get in our car and we turn around see a dood pull out his gun and just start poppin at the guy that ran past us so we jumped in the car and we look behind us as see the police runnin at dood shooting, it was kinda crazy. Then it took us about 2 hours to get on the damn freeway
