My favorite anime series to this day is Dragon Ball, the first series.

Second favorite series is Dragon Ball Z, the series after Dragon Ball.

Third favorite series would have to be Death Note. It's a short series about 30 episodes, but it's a must watch.

Most animes have runs of 13-26 episodes, Death Note was closer to 40. That was not short, only when you compare it with the 100s of eps of DBZ, but that's like comparing movie length with Titanic as the bench mark.

Yeah you're right, 37 episodes. I grew up watching anime series aired on the channels I had and none were 13-26 episodes. Even the ones I've watched lately were not that short.

Well let me clarify, I meant the type of anime/manga Death Note is, tend to have shorter runs. It would classify as an Seinen manga, aimed at adult males. DBZ and it's likes are Shonen, aimed at the young boy demographic. A Seinen will have a clear concise arc in mind for it's story and will aim at making a high quality reading experience. Shonen will give you a shitload of fluff and filler with no shame lol. That's because those tend to run in weekly publications for YEARS. That's why DBZ will have the same fight play out for 5 fucking episodes lol.
