What are y'alls sentiments in regard to lift in the Assult Rifle Ban

^^ cops say gun cirmes with semi and automatic guns went down but I haven't seen the statistics. I heard one gun dealer on my local tv station say that the "ban" restricted some features on the guns themselves which the average joe could add on after they had purchased the gun. I'm not a big gun nut so its not giving me a hardon knowing I can get an AK if I wanted one. However, I find it cynical of the current administration to let it lapse after it vowed to protect every citizen from crime. I guess we know who the cops are voting for come November.

i think that gun episode on simpsons serves as a good example for this situation. remember carl showing lenny how he can make three guns into one....damn dj mark had that great quote carl said about assualt rifles being used to protect us from super animals like the flying squirrel.

personally, i think most people have a fixation with death that comes from violent movies and the visions of heros with fully autos takin out the bad guy, i bet more than a few "honest" americans are gunna get these guns hoping someone breaks in or pulls a gun on them so they can see real damage.

Ey man i probably wouldn't kill somebody or anything but my homie just got an SKS with a 32 round clip and a black AK with a 20 round magazine they both shoot 7.62
We go out in the middle of no where on this dirt road jsut to shoot that shit and its hella fun.

That SKS is fucking badass heres a pic of the same kind but his doesnt have a scope and tripod........

This is a pic of the black AK.... it's actually a newer variant of the AK, instead of wooden it has synthetic stock, but still has the same exact reciever as the AK(meaning everything except the stock and barrell are the same as the original AK)........

but if you know what your doing you can convert a semi-auto to a fully pretty easily.

Its not even funny how easy it is to do this... a 10 year old could figure it out. all you gotta do is open up the reciever case and mess around with the spring and trigger.

Ah my baby the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon. This is what i am issued right now. and i "hunt" with it persay.

The ban doesnt legalize Mac-10's uzi's and fully automatic weapons. it legalizes Assult STYLE rifles. they will still be semi auto. i dont think even 3 round burst is legal. Because when the ban was lifted i was in WA. I went to go buy an M-16 and they will only sell semi auto. Not to mention in CA u are not allowed to buy one because the fedral ban has been lifted but not the state ban.

Gun control is using 2 hands.
