How political?
because you can make an argument that everyone in NWA was political.. they touched on subjects such as police brutality, government corruption, racism, etc. But many people wouldnt think they're political cuz they're gangsta.
You can argue that Hieroglyphics are political.
Rass Kass, Tupac, DJ Quik, shit even X-Raided has touched on that subject matter.. east coast rap just gets most credit because they aint got shit else to rap about but their ballin status. they arent nearly as diverse as west coast artists.
