A reliable source from a major label stated that the West Coast (Mainly Southern Cali) Gangsta shit is a rap, it's about the party club shit, no one wants to hear about yayo, guns and how hard you are anymore, it's played. If you noticed Mack 10 new song Testimony is getting air play, he's not talking about gang bangin, the first single was a flop and he had to come immediately with a new single. What people have to understand on a major level the majors control the Indusrty.

The big 5 can basically say whom they want to blow, so they branched out to the South, but the South been putting down for years, the industry just put them on the map. When they want to bring it back to the West, they will make it happen, but they'll be no gangsta shit, until then, it'll be THIZZ, CRUNK and CHOPPED & SCREW Music.

CHUUCH!!!!!!!!!

You are correct, but what I'm saying, Westcoast niggaz wasn't on that shit, we had our own sound, now that the industry is tired of the Westcoast sound, they brought the Crunk, and Chopped and Screw shit this way (Westcoast). I've been dealing with Swisha House and WreckShop 4 yrs., They all supported my black college tours that I do every Spring break. Radio plays a big part in this, it's called "CORNER MARKET" 9 out of 10 hiphop songs are Midwest and South songs.

What they no Nitty is how to keep a nigga from making bread. I'm a vet in the game, 5yrs at Priority Records, I've seen so called gutta street niggaz bow down. Keeping it real these label niggaz is the real Mob. Russell Simmons is powerful, but there's a cat over him that he want cross, I'm talking real Mob, I'm talking 6-6-2 official, eating steak and lobster in the Feds wit cell phones, and club nite on certain days.

These are the cats that control your records, who they want to be hot.

B.D.S., Sound Scan, Clear Channel, all 6-6-2 official. We read shit on the siccness, dubcnn, allhiphop.com but the real is never told, 21yr. vet in this here game folks, I've heard shit that most niggaz will never hear about the industry, code of silent type shit.

If Eazy E was alive he'll give you the real, that was my nigga. Real 6-6-2 shit folks.

You aint ever lied when it comes to a major making you a major star or not. I feel u on that, but at what cost? My whole thing is I am afraid of seeing the bay turn into this thing where every artist feels a necessity to be on that hyphy tip to be successful. What is gonna happen when we really blow up? Crossing over at an expense of changing your music style as a whole to me is whack. In music, you should always have your own style and way of expressing yourself.

There will always be a market for gangsta rap, it will just go up & down in popularity like it always has....industry been tryin to kill it for years.
