Naw you aint trippin, when it comes to weed, the Dr issues a "recommendation" not a prescription. With a prescription like xanax for example, the Dr mandates under federal law how many pills a day and how many times a day you take them. With weed, the Dr just recommends that you are able to use the dispensary under state law, and at that point you fall under state law for medical marijuana limits. Most state limits are around 2-3 ounces every 2 weeks and edibles are limited to the number of cc's of THC the edibles include.
