Have you heard of FLEOA, IUPA, NAPO, IPA, FOP to name a few? These POLICE organizations lobby for the laws (along with corporations looking to increase their bottom line at the expense of everyday people and their families or looking to protect their assets), that shit isn't just drawn up by the two-bit politicians. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you that the politicians are the one's whoring themselves out for $ passing said laws. To take it further, it's the population that is at ultimate fault for not realizing their power- we rather stay divided and allow our petty differences to come between any substantial social change, while continuing to allow the incompetent rule us (conquered). So yes, we should all be mad at ourselves if we don't like it. Complaining gets us nowhere, action gets attention.
