fool is trying to be a scrap, yet can't even spell in spanish.
something my girl told me yesterday that i never really thought about.......
the letter W is not used in spanish unless the word is taken from another language. it is ju instead of w alot of the time. she was trying to look up (i don't know how to spell it) juey, like, orale juey. she thinks it means fuck. lol

is it a real word though? some say yes, some say no. i think it's just that everyone has heard it or used it so it may aswell be a legit word. but i have heard a million translations for it, like jackass, jack, buddy, etc.......
also, i would bet close to half of the people that associate themselves with norte on this forum couldn't tell you what a huelga bird was or where it came from before this thread. kinda funny

hell yeah they do, i worked with a bunch of doods from guatemala, and the had a bunch of words that were slang that were just normal words to normal northern californians. you say something like...hazte, which means move, or get out of the way, not sure about that spelling, but they would say.....haz te mis huevos....like you told them they were gay....it was kinda weird, but dialect's change wherever you go

hey homie podrido means rotten where I am from to. I never use the word huero to mean rotten, but I remember some paisas getting into a big ass discussion about how to spell guero. cause we were eating at a taco truck named guero country and it has a picture of some white cowboy on it. One paisa said that they spelled guero wrong on the truck. and the other said that it was spelled right, they were arguing for like 20 minutes till one of their kids went in the car and got out a spanish/english dictionary and they looked it up. thats when the one that said g-u-e-r-o proved he was right, and then looked up h-u-e-r-o and it said spoiled and rotten. Then they started arguing that podrido was rotten not huero.
basically it comes down to that spanish/english dictionaries show words that ppl in spain use which slightly differ from what mexicanos use.
I for one say "podrido'' for rotten, never huero.
but the correct spelling in the dictionaries is guero (for the word meaning blond or light skinned). It just comes down to how you want to spell it like for instance "varrio" or "barrio".
The only reason I remember this is cause those paisas were arguing hella loud. that was like hella long ago to.
