lmao ur little thread dies with out vikings fans 2 argue with. But heres a nice little stat 4 u douche bags.
Last time Niners played the Vikings the score was 27-7
AD had 15 carries for 3 yards in his 2nd game back from a sprained MCL
BUT.....you seem to forget that Chester Taylor has 8 carries for 101 yards including a 84 yard TD, so u might have stopped AD but u couldnt stop both
just incase u dont remember its the 1st highlight on this video
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d804fa703/Chester-Taylor-Highlight-WK-14-vs-49ers-2007 That made it 27-0 at halftime. u all seem to like bringin up AD stats for that game so i thought id just throw this into the argument
Who was the starting QB for us that day? Who was running our offense that day? Who was our head coach that day? How did our defense fare that year?

These are rhetorical questions, so don't go searching for the answers. This 49er team is absolutely NOTHING like the one in 07. It is far better and anyone who doesn't have their head so far up their ass that it's beginning to tickle their tonsils knows that. Mike Singletary is much more of a difference-maker than you would like to give him credit for. So you can bring up a score from 2 years ago when your boys beat a completely different team all you want, but in the end none of it matters.

I know people are bringing up the fact Adrian Peterson was shut down worse than he will ever be shut down again the last time we played. I think that's more of a testament to the fact that it can be done than anything else. But fuck all that. This is a new year and a completely new, much better team.

When I said this, it was directed to the dude that said he wanted Favre in that same fetal position as the injured Hasselbeck. So I said:

Figured he meant he wanted Favre to get injured, so again, that's why I said that. Hasselbeck had nothing to do with what I said.

A day later and you`re still all fucking sentimental and crying over cracked ribs? Come one folks, you do understand the idea behind contact sports right? Fuck, I had my right leg dislocated AND fractured playing football. 2 surgeries, a metal rod and now have an 18" scar the length of my quad. That`s football.

But now, now I`m rooting for this dude to be sent into retirement for good. I want to see something "savage" happen. Make me lose my breakfast all over the coffee table and shit. That`s what you got me rooting for this week.

:siccness:This is just for you savage. If you`re "savage" enough to watch. lol:siccness:

wtf are you talking about?

What kind of stupid ass question is that? Of course I do. From what I've said so far in here, what would make you think otherwise? I was merely explaining to BaySickBrian why I said what I said. What don't you get about that? Are you that fucking stupid? I have to break everything down piece by piece to you?

But now, now I`m rooting for this dude to be sent into retirement for good. I want to see something "savage" happen. Make me lose my breakfast all over the coffee table and shit. That`s what you got me rooting for this week.
I don't give a shit. Go ahead root for whatever you want. How is that going to bother me any?

:siccness:This is just for you savage. If you`re "savage" enough to watch. lol:siccness:
Yeah that's a pretty fucked up injury, but probably isn't as bad as Kevin Everett's life threating injury.

THE NINERS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO WIN THIS GAME WITH PASSING, I DON'T REALLY SEE GORE OR PETERSON HAVING ALOT OF RUSHING YARDS, BRETT FAVRE WILL PROBABLY TURN THE BALL OVER IF HE'S FORCED TO THROW ALOT, THE NINERS WILL HAVE TO OPEN UP THE PLAYBOOK WITH ALOT OF PASSING PLAYS TO WIN THIS ONE

This is simple folks. I post a picture showing your qb in the fetal position, caused by Willis. I state I want to see Favre get the same treatment come sunday and then here you come speaking about wishing injuries on players. Acting like you took personal offense to my posting of the pic.

This is the game of football pimp. Injuries ARE an aspect to the game. While I usually don`t wish for career ending injuries on players, I do pull for something to happen to the opposing teams key players if it`ll give us an edge. It might be cold blooded, but I really don`t give a fuck. That`s just me. :siccness:

AP says,"Right now, I've probably got a weak back,"

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson said Thursday that his back injury is "not a big deal at all," meaning he should play against San Francisco this weekend.

Peterson has been limited in practice the last two days because of the injury. He rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown last week against Detroit, and leads the NFL in rushing heading into the Vikings' home opener against the 49ers.

"God willing, I will be out there playing," Peterson said. "Not a big deal at all."

Even with Brett Favre at quarterback, Peterson is the key to the Vikings offense. He draws so much attention from opposing defenses who stack eight or nine men near the line of scrimmage that he opens things up for the passing game. The reigning NFL rushing champion has rushed for 272 yards through two weeks and has already scored four touchdowns.

But Peterson started his press conference Thursday with a joke, which should put Vikings fans at ease.

"Right now, I've probably got a weak back," Peterson said.

When did that happen, Adrian?

"It happened, like, a week back," he deadpanned. "But that's all behind me now."

Rim shot.

"I'm comfortable with where he's at," offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said. "I know he's been working hard to rehab. ... Right now, I think he's going to be OK, but we have to continue to go throughout the week with that."

Starting middle linebacker E.J. Henderson returned to practice after missing Wednesday with a shoulder injury. The Vikings' leading tackler practiced on a limited with pads on, but defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said he believes Henderson will be fine.

Rookie receiver Percy Harvin, who has scored a touchdown in each of his first two games and is the team's primary kick returner, missed practice with an illness.

Safety Madieu Williams was limited again with a shoulder injury while backup linebacker and special teamer Erin Henderson missed another practice with a calf injury.

AP and the Vikings OC might really want to consider AP playing with back problems. That didn`t work out so well for Hasslehoff last week. But who really knows exactly how bad it is. The thing to keep in mind though, back injuries should never be taken lightly. While the team docs can give the young cat a shot in the back to numb the pain, that doesn`t fix the problem. If he takes a couple really good hits, his season could be over, and if AP goes down, so does the Vikings super bowl aspirations.

adrian peterson isnt hurt just like gore isnt. at the rb position you play hurt every week. we gotta anticipate a 110% healthy AP.
I agree that we have to anticipate a 100% healthy AP. That would be foolish to change the game plan thinking they have a weak link in the game.

All I`m saying, a back injury is way different than a slightly sprained ankle. I ran a sub 2 minute 800M on a sprained ankle, but had a pulled disk shut me down for 3 weeks.

But we don`t know how mild or bad his back is. Could have been a mild pulled muscle or some shit. Just saying, if it is worse than they are letting on, a few good shots to really aggravate the injury, his season is done.
