The Seahawks enter week two of three consecutive road games with a trip to Minneapolis this Sunday. It is the third time in franchise history that Seattle has had three straight road games on the schedule (1997, 2000). In each of those seasons, Seattle posted a 1-2 record during the stretch. Kickoff is slated for 10 a.m. (PT) and the game will be televised on FOX (channel 13 in Seattle) and broadcast on 97.3 FM and on 710 ESPN Radio in Seattle. Calling the game for the sixth time this season on FOX will be Dick Stockton and Charles Davis.

This week’s game marks the 11th all-time meeting between the two clubs, with Seattle holding a 6-4 advantage. However, the two clubs have split the last four meetings since 2002, with one win each coming on the opponent’s home turf.

In the most recent meeting on October 22, 2006, Matt Hasselbeck was knocked out of the game (knee) and Seattle’s offense could not find its rhythm coming out of halftime tied at 10. The game featured a 95-yard touchdown run by Chester Taylor in the Vikings 31-13 win, ending a 12-game home winning streak by Seattle at Qwest Field.

Matt Hasselbeck needs four attempts and 1,107 yards to pass Seahawks Ring of Honor member Dave Krieg for the top spot as Seattle’s all-time gun- slinger.

Seattle has been bit by the injury bug again this season, but has weathered the storm as all 53 players on the roster practiced for the first time in more than a year on November 6.

Through the first eight games, 12 Seattle starters have missed at least one game this season, while two All-Pros and team captains landed on injured reserve (Walter Jones, Lofa Tatupu).

This is going to get ugly early. We are bad this year, and even worse on the road. And the Viks are really good. Unless Favre goes down, chalk up another L for the saggy Hawks.
I'm more worried about what Jared Allen is going to do to Hasselbeck, since he's going up against our weak ass oline. :(

lol

I gave the Seabirds too much credit... freakin pathetic tryna have weakass Justin Forsett fill-in as a number 1 back... 4 yards rushing.. lmao.

garbage time touchdown at the end and they couldnt even convert the 2 points.

damn

The Curse of Steve Hutchinson lives on in Seattle.

Favre: 22/25 4 TD's 0 INT's

Manning and Favre are the top 2 QB's in the league this year, EASILY... they're each playing a step above Brady and Brees... Favre is having the best year of his career, couldn't be going any better for Minnesota right now.

^I'd say Brees & Favre are top 2 right now....Manning is playing great football as usual, but he isn't putting up the numbers that those 2 are. and tom brady is a bitch.

Him having low rushing yards was not ON him. Vikes defense is good...Hawks OL is TERRIBLE. Not to mention, when you're down 21-0. running the ball pretty much goes out the window.

8 rec for 80 yards, BTW.

You're right, because we STUNK in '06 and '07

47 of those yards came on one catch at the end when NOBODY on the field cared. But feel free to conveniently overlook that fact.

You won a wild card game each year then blew it in the divisional round. Have a cookie.

If I have time, at the end of the year I'll be sure to make a thread with each and every quote like this that yall have made throughout the year. And you'll be sure to prop me, since I'll be the one celebrating a Super Bowl victory.

He also had a 13 yard reception that nearly got us a 1st down to extend a drive. Whats your point?

And i like how you didn't defend your analysis of the running game after i destroyed it. Baffling.

Translation: "im a dolt for thinking the Seahawks 'sucked' when in both '06 and '07, they make the playoffs."

Maybe you should stick to another sport when trying to "school" someone on knowledge? Just giving a suggestion. You're welcome.

And i like how you didn't defend your analysis of the running game
you got the ball first and tried to establish the run but failed miserably, still gave it a shot but failed miserably AGAIN... then in the second half when the Vikings had already took the Williams' out, you STILL couldn't run the ball even tho you still tried a couple times...... but at least you managed to avoid negative rushing yardage for the game... How's that for your running game analysis?

if you're not gonna have Julius Jones in, you'd be better off with Shaun Alexander right now than with Justin Forsett... he's a carbon copy of Barry Sanders, except without the cutback ability, speed, vision, and general ability to actually succeed in the NFL.

Still bad. You forgot to mention that the Hawks have a horrible Oline.

Going into this game, I didn't expect to have a great run game against the vikqueens. I didn't even expect it to be a game, and well it wasn't. What are you trying to prove in here? We all know that the viqueens are a good football team, and we all know that the Hawks are a bad football team.
