CZAR pretty much hit it on the head. I haven't watched much Laker games so I can't comment on how they are playing. I only know they are losing. I would think this is much more a result of Phil leaning so heavily on two players (one more so than the other) and not really having a true "team" on the floor. Not saying the 'show doesn't have some nice roll players, but that's all they are really. Roll players. Shaq and Kobe are clearly ranked 1 and 2 respectively on that squad but #3 is who? Not even on the map apparently. To make matters worse. It would appear that the distance between #1 (O'Neal) and #2 (Bryant) is even further than most anyone had assumed. Laker fan being the biggest assumer. For all the accolades lumped upon Bryant since his inception into the league, he cannot carry this team alone. And he's been compared to Jordan? C'mon now.

Sure there's no Shaq right now and Jordan did have Pippen, but stop and think about it. Which "Batman" is/has led his team to more success minus his "Robin"?

I think you find that you must admit that Jordan was a true "Batman" while Kobe is seamingly more of a "Boy Wonder" figure in the Lakers's virtual Gotham City.

Again people still fail to realize that before Pippen came Jordan lead his shitty ass teammates to the playoffs every year he was there, not to mention he took a 19 win team his rookie year to the playoffs!! Come on, so he didnt have Pippen to make the playoffs!! And Pippen was actually wasnt that good until about his 3rd or 4th year!! And that was because of Jordan that he got good!! Big difference between Jordam and Ko_me!!! GOT EM!!!

@ deepthought that some real shit right there...i say the same shit to my boys...phil has his whole offense aimed towards shaq..and just like before the season started he said the lakers were gonna start 0-7,which is the most fucked up shit you can say to your team, basically saying he has no confidence in kobe or the rest of them...as a player that has to effect your mental when your coach says that...it looks to me like he just waiting until shaq heals and comes back cause he's made no effort to change the triangle at all, towards kobe..all phil cares about is another ring to beat out that boston coach for more rings in the history of coaching, then he's gonna retire..he hasnt done any changes to the offense at all,to make kobe's job a little easier...thats why kobe said the other day "thier coaching like idiots out there...that shit was on the news out here...

Yea it was on the news out here as well, and the coaches said that Ko_Me was playin stupidly, dont forget to mention that homie!! But as far as coach sayin they would start 0-7, he was just bein real, cause he knows Ko-Me cant carry a team by hisself, like some of the other alltime greats!! GOT EM!!

Actually it was only assistant coach Tex Winters who told Kobe that (and he deserved it for that particular game) and I imagine Kobe's reply was only a spur-of-the-moment mouth-off and no more. Phil Jax coaches that team, Tex is only the assistant.

And even I cringed a little when Jackson's "0-7" remark broke. I'm quite aware he was only trying to motivate Kobe (and the rest of the team to some extent), but I knew if they DID go 0-7 or something even close to that, the comment would backfire and suddenly take on a much more serious tone. Now I bet Phil wishes he could take it back.

WiCkEd, you may be right about the staff not making the right adjustments to the triangle with Shaq out, but as I touched on above, who are the other 2 pieces they could possibly depend on?

HEY HOMIE I AINT EVEN TRIPPIN,THE LAKERS ARE STILL GONNA WIN A 4TH STRAIGHT TITLE...IM POSITIVE JUST LIKE THE YEAR BEFORE,AINT NO DOUBT IN MY MIND...BUT ME BIENG A LAKER FAN SINCE WAY BACK EXPECT 100% PERCENT FROM THE TEAM...IM TIRED OF THEM LOSING GAMES IN THE REGULAR SEASON TO SORRY ASS TEAMS ,THEN TURN IT UP IN THE PLAYOFFS...THEY SHOULD BE ALL ABOUT WINNING THE ENTIRE SEASON INCLUDING THE COACH...PHIL AND SHAQ ARE BOTH CONTENT WITH FINISHING IN 3RD OR 4TH PLACE BECAUSE THEY FEEL THEY DONT NEED HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE AND CAN WIN ANYWHERE,I LIKE KOBE BECAUSE HE WANTS TO WIN EVERY GAME,HE'S THE ONLY ONE OUT THERE SHOWING EMOTION ON THE COURT....BUT SHITS GONNA BE ALL GRAVY REGARDLESS COME PLAYOFF TIME..
