I feel like the majority of you on here have the wrong attitude. Yeah the songs were a “joke” or guised as a joke so closed minded fucks wouldn’t start bitching about them. Making a different type of Album isn’t selling out, and marketing it as 816 would be a different brand name and would differentiate it from the rest of the strange releases. Tech N9ne said it himself: he is a King a Clown and a G, why the fuck not make a clown album? All about good times, partying and getting bitches. If you don’t like good times partying and getting bitches than there is something wrong with you.
Selling out is making music the way someone else forces you to because they are paying your bills. Tech has his own label that he started from scratch, kind of hard for him sell out at this point.
And if you hate on mainstream music simply for the fact that its embraced by the masses.. stop sipping on hater-aid mother fucker and pull your head out of your ass. Trust me, I understand, you want to be different, you want your own subculture and to listen to music that no one else does… you can still have that, Tech put out the KOD album for fucks sake, trust me, he cannot sell out after that …
816 combines everything I like about mainstream music and at the same time incorporates the talent and delivery of my favorite artists. I don’t care about deep music, I want fun music. I appreciate the talent that Tech, Kutt and Krizz have. No one can flow like the strange camp. But if all they do is make music about locking bitches in trunks and eating women alive… wtf how is tech n9ne ever going to be a global name? The majority of you on here truly do appreciate hip-hop music, and even though you might not enjoy an 816 type album right away, once you mature and grow up you very well might.
