yall bangin on the white boy, but what he observed is true. i've always been a fan of WC and the MAAD Circle. back then, Coolio was more of a gangsta than WC. the point is that the industry didn't allow rappers to straight out gang bang in the music back in 1991. during the mid-to-late 90's it became more acceptable to crip walk and wear blue rags and stuff. if you notice, back in the day mc eiht and all of them dudes would gang bang with subliminal messages, because their shit would've got banned. it was already a risk just to be a "gangsta rapper" period, let alone gangbang. but if you watch the "aint a damn thang changed" video, i believe Coolio is crip walkin'. i might be mistaken, i haven't seen it in a while. unless you were in the loop, back then you wouldn't have known that eiht was from Tragniew Park. DJ Qwik told us that he's from Tree Top Piru, but wasn't straight out bold with it. the point is that it was too risky with how the industry was back then. WC was mostly about kickin knowledge. also, back then it was more popular to be socially conscious. now it's not cool. aint that somethin'.

it's a trip how rappers gang bang backwards. you would think that niggas would bang hard when their young and then mellow out as they get older and more mature. for a lot of rappers, it's the opposite. but hey, that's the music business. it's entertainment.

thats sorta what i meant, but at the same time, i was also just talking about him getting more crazy and just plain mean! i mean snoop dogg was all cripped out, but i never thought of snoop dogg as scary, dj quik was a piru blood but i never thought of him as scary, WC was talking hella crazy and mean on some of his later songs: "speed on before you get PEE'd on nigga!" , "im punkin more niggas than deebo!" "i grab on my rusty screwdriver, just incase i gotta cut you deeper than vanessa del rio's vagina!" and songs like the shadiest one and its all bad... if you never heard the stuff where he was spitting knowledge, and the westside connection album and the shadiest one album is all you had to judge him by, you'd think he was a psycho! i always liked his music, i just thought he was a totally different type of person when i first heard those albums. i used to think he was more like suge knight or a real life deebo, but now i see he has more sense than that.

also, i was pretty much joking when i said i was terrified of him. i thought he was scary, but i wasnt having nightmares or anything hahahaha

MAAD Circles Aint A Damn Thing Changed is one of the realest CD's ever released IMO. WC and Coolio are just speaking on everyday issues that go on in the hood, and arent trying to be hard. They spit form the perspective of an everyday homeboy observing whats going on around them. This is what real hip hop is about, this album should be a blueprint for aspiring rappers. Even Pimp C said it was one of his favorite albums...

yeah, i don't know about being scared of WC and shit. it's just music. it aint like the nigga walkin around stabbing people. it's hardcore gangsta shit, but most of all, it's street shit. that's the culture of the streets. niggas be on some hella aggressive shit. also, that's apart of hip hop culture.

haha for real.

snoop came out in 92... i don't recall him ever even mentioning the word "crip" til like 1998

and what kind of tripped me out was when "g'd up" first came out on the radio, with goldie loc's lyrics saying "dogg house style, cuz i'm a gangsta crip // c-walkin holdin on the extra clip"... that kind of shit was unheard of until that song came out in december of 1999.
