I can't believe I just sat throught three hours of drama and hardly any action. Then again I didn't read the novel. Good plot though. I have to read the novel now. The lines for each showing was crazy. Overhyped. They probably thought it was another dc comics film lol.

dope movie. could it be better? maybe. but i was kinda lookin forward to the squid killing new york, but people who didnt read it would be like WTF? anyone notice snyder trying to plug 300 in the movie by using "3001" as the comedians apartment. is it just me or did rorschach have a sad ink blot face when he was tryna talk to dr. manhattan and he was teleported out of his lab. lol.

as for the pirate comic, that had to be edited out for obvious time reasons, but they did make a couple cameos throughout the movie and i could definitley see the pirate shit in the bonus features of the dvd.

I was pleasantly surprised, I knew a bunch of dumbasses were gonna be like this isn't like X-men...annoying. It was better than 300 to me (which I hate), but suffers from the V for vendetta syndrome -putting too much shit in one movie. I recommend it for people who have some sort of patience and a brain.

Yeah i think they did try to put to much. But the casting/make up was dope. Aside from Walter Kovacs and ozymandias all of the characters really looked on point with the graphic novel

There was alot of moral and ethical tug-o-war in the movie, some jabs and praise of religion, lots of political outlining and an overall message at the end which is very alive and well now....even on this board.

It is LONG and it the first 2/3's of the movie does nothing more than build the characters, twists you into the plot and overall tells the story. People looing for a "300" type movie need to stay away from thsi film, becuase even though there is fighting and blood, its nothing like 300 action wise.

just got back from seeing this and i was dissapointed... there was a lil too much hype surrounding this film especially since myself hasnt read the novel just like most of probably havent as well... like someone stated in a previous post the movie was dragged out with barely building into characters by the end of the film... knightowl or batman jr probably was one of the biggest pussies ever in a comic film to date.. and dr manhattans cock in almost every scene he was in was a lil disturbing at times like it was really not necessary at all...

rorschach was the only enjoyable character in this flick and to me saved the lil bit of enjoyment i was giving during this movie...

I didn't enjoy it, I came in expecting an action super hero flick. It was falsely advertised as a super hero movie, and hyped up to be one. Because of that, I didn't enjoy it, especially sitting through nearly damn 3 hours. The message was pretty good and strong though, but again, it wasn't what I expected.

You're a retard. Ten minutes of googling and you'd know it was a drama. Quit blindly buying tickets to advertised films without knowing anything about them.

What's up with this BS saying

"if you haven't read the comic then you're not obviously going to like the film"

That's the whole point of making a movie so you don't have to read the comic or have prior knowledge to what's going to happen. I think these die hard comic fans just need to accept that the film just sucked.

I didn't read Jurassic Park the novel by Michael Crichton before watching the Steven Spielberg film but the movie was still the shit regardless

The advertising for Watchmen is misleading, but I don't know of any other way they could have done it.

I still haven't decided what I think about the movie up or down, but I think it should be seen in a theater either way.

The movie makes you think a little harder than most people are used to especially for a film that is supposed to be a blockbuster.

Box office sales are going to tank this week I think. I’m surprised and disappointed that it only opened to 55 mil and not higher.
