20s in CA and 20s/100s in Vegas.
I haven't seen anything else.

My friend got a wire transfer of about 11,000 plus some change into his bank account.
Withdrew it, closed the account...and they went after him for about 6 months then finally dropped it. It was a bank error. Some teller deposited someone elses check into his account.

Its cheaper/more profitable to only keep large denominations, but its individual to whoever controls the machine, some have 10's and 5's as well as 20's, but not a lot.
ATMs in the US dispense pieces of paper. The person setting up the machine can code the cash cans for whatever denomination(s) they desire, and the display software responds to the cans it recognizes are loaded into the dispenser. Two and three can machines were most prevalent, so you could do a combination of $20 and $10, $20 and $5, and so forth.

The simple answer to the question lies in weekend use, particularly holiday weekends when the machine sits for 3 days without being serviced. Filling the machine to maximum dollar capacity reduces the likelihood of it running out of cash. For example, let's say a two can machine has a capacity of 10K bills, 5K in each. If you load with all $20, the machine has $200,000 to dispense. OTOH, if you split that between $20 and $5, capacity drops to $125,000.

the other day i withdrew from an atm that spit out tens. before then i had never seen an atm do anything other than 20s. i guess anythings possible these days

few years ago i withdrew from wells fargo drive thru and drove off without my card. and sure enough the infidel behind me took $100...and he was white for cryin out loud!!!!
but wells fargo has always treated me proper. waiving over draft fees back when i was a youngster, and doing other little things that have made me a satisfied customer. so they came through big time on this one and deposited $100 back into my account and told me to be more careful next time.

when i was in high school i found a wallet with $200. my heart hadn't been hardened at that age yet so though i was tempted to just keep the money and call it a day, i found the guys phone number and called him to come pick it up from my house. he was a chubby bald mid aged asian who spoke english with the funny asian baby accent. and he was SOOO happy. made me feel like a hero when he showed up all hugging me and shit. he offered to give me $20 but i insisted i didnt need it.

but i dont believe in karma the way most people interpret it.

i simply see it as EVERY big or little action has a reaction. subjective morals dont play into it. "good" things and "bad" things happen to people all through out the day. we cant sit here and go, oh these good things happened bc of past good things i did, and those bad things happened bc of bad things i did. it's just a matter of everything you do leads to something else. whether it be physical, consciously mental, subconsiously mental, direct, indirect, immediate, delayed, etc. everything you do has an ultimate result and thats all karma is.

I've never seen an ATM that didn't ask for your pin again if you wanted to go through with another transaction.

Why would a banking company even fuck with an ATM service that would allow such a security flaw?
wells fargo ATM machines hold your card until you're done, so when it asks you to do another transaction, it still has your card, so they assume people aren't retarded enough to walk away without it

but ive heard of plenty of people that leave their cards at the atm

one time i was with az hakim in the Chargers locker room on payday..
these niggas get like $28,000 paychecks on random day like Tuesday.

the facility had an ATM where u could deposit your check right there or withdraw.

you havent lived til you wait for the ATM to whirr and buzz and purr for 3 minutes as it shoots out 30 large in 100 dollar bills.
theres one ATM in la jolla that lets you take out like 5 racks at a time too
