Yeah, so for the people talking about the action (curving bullets, jumping into cars going 100+ mp, etc) the movie is based off comic mini series by the same name that deals with a team of assassins who, get this, have super powers. So like wow, I guess Spiderman, The Hulk and all those movies should have been based more in reality too huh?

Anyways, I'm not a big comic/superhero/blah blah blah movie fan but this movie is dope for what it is. I watched it the night before last and it was non stop action from the get go, the special effects were great, and the storyline flows well for an action movie.

I doubt it will be in my top 10 at the end of the year but it's worth checking out for sure.

I'm sure Mr. Rictus knew all about the premise of the movie though lol.
I had no clue it was a comic.

With that being said, at least comic book movies (Marvel) are obvious...i think we all know that there is no such thing as a 600 pound green man or a guy who dresses up as a spider and can fling webs from building to building.

If you can't tell from the trailers (I had only seen one before seeing the movie and had never even heard of the comic) that the people in the movie have superpowers then I don't know what to say. It makes it pretty obvious.

Youtube the red band trailers, there are a few of them. You get a better feel for the movie from them.

Super powers is one thing, but curving bullets is stupid.

I had no idea this was a comic either.

What makes it obvious they have super powers? It only states that they are a "special band of assassins"...there is nothing said that they have any super powers.

Regardless, ill pass.

If curving bullets, shooting wings off of flies, jumping into cars going 100+ mph, etc isn't obvious that they aren't "normal" then I don't know. I knew that the first and only time I saw a preview for it but there is like 3 or 4 different previews so maybe the one I saw let you see what's going on a little more clearly.

It's kind of like the Matrix in ways.

Like I said, it's a good action movie. I'd pay for it if I didn't get in for free.

Oh well that explains everything. Sorry Mr. Rictus I must have missed this at the Comic Book guys store.
It's ok I didn't expect you to know what the fuck you were talking about anyway. I still think you're missing the point even now though. And consider the fact I never said I wanted to see it, only asked who was going to see it, before you started a stream of shit talking.

But after Nutt's review and some other positives online I do want to see it. I'll probably catch it this weekend.

No I didn't miss it.

I think we all know there is no such thing is curving bulletts or angelina jolie rolling a car and scooping someone up through the open door - pretty obvious.
True, but it makes it easier to swallow when its original source is a comic book. We all know that comic books are known for super-human powers and what have you.

*shrugs*

Anyways, i will wait and rent/DL this...now that i understand the premise. I am going to see Wall-E this weekend.

Yea.

I just found it funny you were so hyped to see Hulk an obviously fantastical movie, but criticise Wanted for being obviously fantastical as well.

I'm curious do you think Hulk would have been less appealing to you if it had not been a comic first and was an origional concept because it was so obviously unreal?

I think a lot of people are going to see Wall-E and a lot are going to buy tickets for Wall-E and go see Wanted.

I'd rather DL/Rent Wall-E and see Wanted in the theater. If I want to geek off splosions and violence I like to do it with big sound and picture. Same reason I went to see Iron Man in the theater and same reason I want to see Hulk, Hellboy and Batman in the theater too.
