what im saying is the feds dont do that. matter of fact its their job to have filed those charges today. here, this guy wrote this on falconsroost.com and sums up my outlook on this situation well.
Yes, actually, it is possible: Michael Vick gets 130 million dollar contract to play football in the NFL. Michael Vick goes out of his way to help out folks he grew up with, and even purchases a house for them to live in. One comes up to him and says, "Hey Mike, we've been around dogs all of our lives - why not back us in starting a kennel? I'm good with dogs, and with your celebrity it will certainly turn a profit." Vick likes money, or at least likes helping his friends, so he goes for it. And in the meanwhile, when not busy staring for the Atlanta Falcons, doing everything that he does in Atlanta, Vick visits from time to time - perhaps even poses for a photograph with a dog (for promotional purposes, of course). Things start to heat up, one of Vick's friends gets into trouble with Drugs, but rather than turn his back on his friends, he sticks by them, allowing them to stay in the house.
The point of this trip to fantasyland is to say that YES, this COULD actually be the case.
It is possible still that:
Vick backed a dog breeding operation (Perfectly legal)
Vick financed all aspects of said 'operation' (Perfectly legal, even if he unknowingly funded illegal activity.)
Vick even appeared in photographs with folks who were involved in illegal activity (Perfectly legal.)
Vick was lifelong FRIENDS with people who were involved in illegal activity (Perfectly legal.)
Vick was a complete moron. (Perfectly legal.)
I am yet to see Videotape evidence of Vick at a dog fight. I am yet to see paperwork that shows any transfer of $. I am yet to see evidence (other than hearsay from less than credible witnesses) that proves that Vick did anything wrong - other than being a moron. If such evidence exists, nail him...but if it doesn't, It really does look like a witch hunt - especially since it's been handed down in a threatening "Take the plea or we'll charge you with all this other shit too" - WTF is with that? If a crime has been committed, shouldn't the feds do that anyway? If I was Vick's attorney I'd plead guilty to a minor traffic infraction and tell them to kiss my ass.
I don't know if Vick will take the plea deal, but honestly - if the only crime he's guilty of is trusting people who would ultimately take advantage of him? Should he? Would you?
If I were him, I'd probably fight it. He's now in a 'damned if ya do, damned if ya don't situation' if I've ever heard of one, but the possibility is still there that he's just a dumbass who trusted the wrong people. I guess we'll know when the plea comes...or doesn't come.
