How can you give Vallejo recognition for "E-40" rapping about some shit that goes on in Oakland? Mac Dre too, that Thizz shit and that hyphy shit he was on, they didn't get down like that in Vallejo, my sister lived out there, I know.. I remember when Poppin E's was a straight town thing, Sideshows still are. Plus ya'll put too much on Mac De and E-40, they're just two rappers and honestly Mac Dre wasn't that influential for me growing up, 40 was, but not Dre, I'mma be honest with you, I don't know too many people who grew up on MD. E-40 was basically the only national star out of Vallejo, so that actually is consistent with a population of 116,000 people. Oakland had Pac, Short, Digital, Luniz, Heiro, Rich, Hammer, etc.. All of the platinum artists came from Oakland(Pac, Short, Hammer, Luniz) and a few went Gold. If I'm not mistaken, 40 is the only platinum or Gold artist to ever be based out of Vallejo. I ain't even dissin but it does seem like certain groups of people try to take credit for some shit they didn't start. I could of sworn that Mob Music(The rappers) started in Oakland and so did Hyphy. That's the alpha and omega right there.. And Mistah FAB (An Oakland rapper) is carrying a whole (Vallejo based) label on his back, please. You E-40 fans are getting way too big headed, keep it Bay or stfu with that Set-Trippin shit.
