thankz J Bone, like my ol homie MS said a while back, "who the artist gonna say ripped em off this time?......them selfevz?"

i support anyone that wants to do suming on they own, and i respect any and all artist tryin on they own, but team work makes it big from underground to main stream.......i respect Droop and Kaoz for trying on they own, whut i would really appreciate is for them ta come back in a few yrs and say" damn yall i didnt relize whut yall had ta do ta put a album out or how much u spent outa ur own money ta get a album out" now that would be whut a real man says, but still say we ripped u off and u aint putt nothing out in 3 yrs on ur own but been talking bout it for 5 yrs, come on now

Good Product good Label 3. Luck.......teh last is only about .5% of us

A lot of artists don't realize everything that goes into making a record successful from a label standpoint. Fuck it, let em try this shit out and spend they own bread and see if they sink or swim... most will sink

you have to be deeply rooted in the farming industry. I would suggest taking 4 semesters of agricultural education at your local community college. Then try spending 2 Summers in Idaho.. learning the ins and outs of the history of the potato.

struggling is what the underground is all about ,being flooded is what underground is all about, look at punk rock and hard core rock, i see tons of these groups, rap music is now on the level of other forms of music its mainstream and has a back bone the undergroung is needed to develope new talent not to make money if you do cool but i dont see it as a way to make a living for most

No doubt kev.Rap is as big as any form of music now.Just like rock where you have people workin on their art right from the garage once or twice a week.

My point was'nt to say Nelly or Puffy(mainstream artists)are making better music, but there is absolutely no question that their product has alot better sound quality.I'm not asking for a million dollar studio....I just don't want my shit to bump in my car,but yet sound like the rapper is whispering in a wind storm to the beat.
If your gonna be underground, and put your name on the product, you should have enough pride in your work to release something of quality. My potna D-Sane don't have no million dollar studio, but he still puts out great sounding cd's because he's gonna do everything in his power to put out the best shit possible. And his shit sounds just like a major's release.

Basically, there's to many mutherfuckers who just wanna be a star, and they think just by havin there face on a c.d.,that their the shit. Two years later your on brokestreet once again because you tried to fool the fans.

thats real artist turn in to diffrent ppls once they face is on a cd cover..........they really believe they done it and made it big, and forget who all made it happen, or made it possible..........but thats the business now?...........to me the smart thing would ta build sumthing big with whut has made it happen so far, not ta get to a good point then break off and try it on ur own cuz it aint the same formula so its gonna be a diffrent turn out, maybe for the better but most likely not, so y not stay with whut works, but anyways, they7 get they face on a cd and :poof: the are "SUPASTARZ"

The only happy artist is a paid artist and many of them don't realize what "recoupable" means...No matter how many times you explain it. However, there's a lot of pressure on artists to show for their success immediately. This pressure comes from friends, family, and fans alike. Many artists can't see the real payday because it might not come until their 5th or 6th album. But in this independent game, persistence pays and if you keep bringing heat it WILL bust open.

I swear dealing with artists makes you feel like a damn babysitter sometimes...

Exactly, everyone n they mama gotta record label, everyone n they mama sayin they album comin out but in reality by the time it hits the streets we already to old and crippled to even c-walk. The game aint what it used to be, ya'll remember back in the day when it was jus a couple folks layin shit down as a family, stickin together, hustlin together...Now everyone gettin greedy and the shits getting watered down. Music to me is about expression on who we are as individuals. It's a form of therapy that is priceless. It comes from the heart, not the wallet. Thas real.

and um..
