TUCSON, Ariz. — Drunken Arizona drivers with the late-night munchies may soon be getting more than chicken strips at drive-through windows.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department has a new campaign targeting drunken driving. Operation Would U Like Fries, or Operation WULF, will put undercover deputies inside 24-hour fast-food restaurants to spot impaired drivers placing their orders.
Sgt. Doug Hanna, a DUI unit supervisor, says if deputies notice someone with classic symptoms of impairment — slurred speech, red or watery eyes or beer breath — they will have a uniformed deputy stationed outside pull the driver over.
Hanna says money for the intermittent program is coming from a $128,000 grant from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety.

Just got done going through an 8 hour alcohol class and this was brought up so I thouht I'd see if it was true. Sure shit, here it is. I dont' know about you guys but if they did this in Washington I would of been busted for a DUI a long time ago. I have a feeling Arizona's J in the B's late night sales will drops significantly.

bad move for the fast food joints that allow them in. gonna lose a lot of customers that end up there. shit i cant even count the times i ended up buzzed or high in jack in the crack drive through ordering hella taco's.

not no more though. that dui aint worth it

Yeah but not really. If you appear to be intoxicated on anything they'll get you. I met a dude today that got a DUI for driving off a recommended doce of Nyquil, real shit.

I usually don't go anywhere after 12 unless its home (to eat anyways). So I don't give a fuck. If I do, I usually always have a friend that stayed clean that night for some reason. It always works out.

fuck that, I worked in fast food for 7 years and I can tell you from personal experience, the people who are going to be the most pissed about this are THE EMPLOYEES who will no longer be able to sneak out back or into the walk-in freezer to smoke a bowl... BULLSHIT! it's the only thing that made working fast food fun for me, and most of the people I worked with...

but yea, hopefully it'll cut down on ignorant motherfuckers driving drunk..
