Maybe, but why not taze him and why two shots instead of one....to his torso? They dont shoot limbs anymore?
They never shot limbs. If they did, the risk to innocent bystanders and to the officers goes way up. I'm not saying that shooting the kid was right, but I can understand why tazers and other non-lethal force is not used in situations where a gun may be present and they aren't following orders.

That being said, it seems like this situation could have been easily avoided by getting everybody else out of the area and giving this kid orders from far away with a megaphone. We'll have to wait and see the video to know for sure.

torso shots (center mass) to eliminate the threat
it aint the movies where the cop can just shoot someone's hand
hitting a moving target is not easy, either

jus sayin, i'm not taking sides or having an opinion on this case (cuz i don't know anything other than black kid shot dead by cop)

Prosecutor: No probable cause for charging Darren Wilson

A Missouri grand jury has decided not to indict Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson in the August 9 shooting death of Michael Brown, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch said Monday night. The issue has become a flashpoint for racial tension in the St. Louis suburb; Brown was black and Wilson is white. Brown's father and others have called for calm ahead of the grand jury's decision, which has left the community on edge amid concerns over the possibility of violent protests.

They need to pass a law that when a cop is sued for whatever misconduct,he/she has to pay out of their own pocket if found guilty.not the city or police department Wich is basically tax payer money...maybe they'd use some restraint when they know it's their money on the line.
