N. Korean society is like USSR in the late 70's/early 80's, but with the people brainwashed/propagandized to the nth degree (or too spooked by the system and Kim Jong Il to even say anything).

btw, the great leader pushed a button and made the earth shake and buildings crumble in Italy today also.

It’s really crazy when you think about the dynamics of the situation. Lil’ Kim has the whole North isolated. Their view of reality is skewed. They truly believe they are “THE” world power and that the South is struggling to keep up. They have zero access to the information on the internet. They think that things are still as they were 50yrs ago.

One of my buddies in college was from South Korea and he told me that North Korea would often show like pictures of a 4th of July celebration in the US and tell all the North Korean citizens that it was the world celebrating Kim Jong Il's birthday or something like that.
