Dana is just mad cause Cain was his resource to tap into the Mexican market and the whole first Mexican Heavyweight Champion story was the way to do it.
exactly and it was sickoning seeing him at the post fight sulking and shit cause his money in the bank fighter didnt win. was i the only who thought JDS was the better fighter here? i mean yeah cain's good but beating brock aint shit IMO considering you only have the takedowns to worry about and he was a wrestler. he was only 8-0 and IMO too overhyped. you could even see how pissed dana was when he was starpping the belt on JDS. lost respect for dana tonight man, looks like he's trying to sell out.

THIS IS WHERE A TUNE UP FIGHT WOULD HAVE BENEFITTED A FIGHTER,IN MMA...NOT TAKING NOTHIN FROM JDS BUT...CAIN DIDNT EXECUTE A SMART GAME PLAN, LOOKED RUSTY,AND MENTALLY SEEMED OUT OF PLACE...IF ANY OF YOU HAVE ANY ACTUAL FIGHT COMBAT TRAINING, YOU'LL KNOW SPARRING AND AN ACTUAL FIGHT ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS...BUT WITH MMA ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE AND A TUNE UP FIGHT COULD SCREW UP EVERYTHING, IF THE UNDERDOG ACTUALLY WON.
I REALLY LIKE DOS SANTOS... EVER SINCE HE STEPPED ON THE SCENE AND STARCHED WERDUM...IF OVEREEM GETS PAST LESNAR...THIS FIGHT WILL BE THE ALI-FOREMAN OF MMA...

AND AT THIS POINT ITS HARD TO PICK EM TILL WE GET A GLIMPSE OF HOW THE DEMOLITION MAN LOOKS IN HIS NEXT FIGHT...

I THINK CAIN NEEDS TO BULK UP A LIL BIT MORE...WORK ON HIS HEAD MOVEMENT AND BOXING DEFENSE...AND HE COULD POSSIBLY BE CHAMP AGAIN IF HE CAN INTEGRATE HIS WRESTLING INTO HIS FIGHT GAME AGAIN.

Cain looked sloppy. Not so much in his performance bc JDS is that good with the striking... but physically.. he looked fatter than usual. and just didnt look like he was ready. those 13 months hurt him in my opinion... but getting stopped like that and getting his title taken i think is going to light a scary scary fire inside that guy.. He's gonna be back real soon, and badder than ever.

New UFC champ Junior Dos Santos fought with torn meniscus at UFC on FOX

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Junior Dos Santos (14-1 MMA, 8-0 UFC) suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee a week-and-a-half prior to his fight with Cain Velasquez (9-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) at UFC on FOX.

"I was feeling my knee a little bit, and I was worried about it," Dos Santos told MMAjunkie.com.

Dos Santos was advised by doctors that the injury wouldn't preclude him from fighting. But he now plans a follow-up to see what his immediate future holds.

UFC on FOX took place Saturday at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. The one-fight main card aired live on FOX while preliminary fights streamed live on Facebook and FOX.com.

Dos Santos ripped the UFC heavyweight title from Cain Velasquez's hands with a 64-second KO victory in the network-televised main event.

Immediately afterward, he admitted to being less than 100 percent leading up to the fight. And while adrenaline proved to be a good anesthetic, he worried about taking a kick that might further damage his knee, which he originally hurt while training jiu-jitsu.

Thankfully, things ended quick. But soon, he'll get word on whether his injury is serious enough to warrant surgery.

"I don't think so," Dos Santos said. "I'm feeling good."

Dos Santos, who said he was on crutches during the final lead-up to the fight, said his final week of training was limited to extensive rehab on the knee and working punching drills in the pool to minimize impact on the joint.

Dos Santos earned his eighth consecutive win in the octagon with his quick knockout of Velasquez. He said he had no preference on the date of his next fight, which will be against the winner of December's UFC 141 headliner between Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem.

With his knee busted up, it may be a little later rather than sooner. Nevertheless, Dos Santos remained positive that he'll make a quick recovery and not suffer any extensive layoff.
