I knew GSP would dominate Fitch.

GSP vs BJ!! Now thats a fucking fight I want to see!!
he didnt dominate fitch like he normally does other fighters tho, fitch had tremendous heart and a steel chin. I wish he wouldve done more from his back.. triangle, arm bar, gogoplata, omoplata.. etc.. atleast attempt these submissions, no sweeps or anything, his ground game was basically gone.. GSP passed his guard like nothing.

I don't see Penn beating GSP, I think Fitch would have a good fight with Penn though. I hope Florian doesn't get a title shot and rather that he fight Tyson Griffin or Frankie Edgar, I doubt he can ever be champion.

You've got to remember GSP's BJJ is just as solid as Fitch's if not better(imo it is better). The dude just came back from spending a couple months in Brazil sharpening up his bjj skills. To Fitch's credit tho I did see some attempts at some arm bars. GSP is just really good on the ground and his defense was shutting down everything Fitch had to throw at him.

I agree. I think Tyson Griffin or Frankie Edgar would tool Kenny Florian as he did not impress me out there tonight.

I think people are underestimating BJ Penn. There's a reason he is called the prodigy and there's nobody more dangerous in the lower weight classes than a in-shape, motivated BJ Penn. GSP maybe the more gifted athlete, but BJ Penn has a natural born fighter's spirit.

GSP has the wrestling advantage, BJ the jiu jitsu advantage, striking is pretty much even, but I give the chin and heart to BJ Penn tho.

i think penn would beat gsp.
i also think brocc lesnar will be a force if he masters submissions. hes proven his standup and his wrestling. he needs to learn submissions. plenty of chances tonight to submit heath, but he didn't attempt. he coulda had his bacc, coulda kumora'd, paintbrushed, etc. plus work a little more on his conditioning. fold.

the penn/ st pierre fight can be 50 50.. up for grabs.. if st pierre tries to go to the ground with bj penn its a wrap, then again bj penn has a very good take down defense. BJ Penn's jiu jitsu is the best in the UFC.

He had at least 2 10-8 rounds IMO. He dominated him from start to finish with the exception of the 2nd round, which was also a close round.

Fitch has chin & heart but he was knocked down on a few good rights from Rush...but you could tell he was clearly the beaten man, even when he was able to make it back up to his feet or temporarily recover.

As far as him not trying anything from his back, a lot of the BJJ stuff is null & void when someone is raining down elbows and punches from 12'oclock.

IMO, the difference in this fight was GSP's athleticism and hand speed. It was almost like watching the Pacquiao - Diaz fight in that it seemed like the dominating fighter was just 2 steps ahead of his opponent.

Hats off to Fitch...but I was really impressed with Rush's striking.

I think that his standup is better than BJ's for the simple fact that he utilizes so many more weapons than BJ does. He's so versatile with his strikes, and so accurate...he's just a fucking beast.

I agree 100% with the Brock Lesnar comment...I wasnt expecting much from Brock, and he brought a very impressive game with him. Except for the submissions that is, lol......The GSP vs. Penn, to me is like flipping a coin right now, i just dont know who's gonna win, all i know is that it's going to be 1 hell of a fight!!!!

The Maia vs McDonald was a sick ass fight, watching the ground game at its best, this card had two potential fight of the year type fights. I was pretty accurate with my predictions for the most part, kind of takes the fun out of watching the fights when you know what moves are coming ahead of time....

An out of shape non focused BJ Penn fighting on short noticed tooled St Pierre the first time they fought. This ones gonna be the shit....

LOL @ Brock 5 seconds before round 3 expired and then wrangling up the loser. Bad for the sport but brought some comedy relief at the same time, his cockiness is coming out of him, but shit it was his time to shine infront of his hometown fans....
