Yeah, but that fight was actually fairly boring.

And I dunno.. I'd say more people probably thought Jardine would win than Forrest Griffin just because of pure knockout power.

People were on Shogun's nuts like crazy before this card.

Another thing i've come to the conclusion of is that the fighters from Pride are waay smaller than UFC fighters. I don't know if it's because UFC fighters cut huge amounts of weight or the lack of steroid testing that went on in Japan?

I actually think there's more steroid testing in America.. but i think its due to them cutting more weight. Griffin walks around at 220. Nakamura seemed like he should've been a middleweight.

Maybe they know how to cut weight over here better?

thiago went for submission from his back what did tyson do he gave up his back three times allowing for thiago to try sub attemps
So Thiago should have won because Tyson gave up his back yet Thiago was remotely no wear near a submission? Just because it allowed Thiago to try, he should have won? Simply amazing.

Like Robby2Slobby said, if Tavares should have won then Sanchez should have won as well. And Sanchez put up a much better fight against Fitch, than did TT against TG. What did Sanchez say at the end of the fight? Oh yeah, "He beat me fair and square, he won the fight."

I agree with joe said you have to get credit to the guy trying to end the fight that why I like pride rules it more for mma rules and what was up with cecil peoples judging sanchez vs fitch 27 30 fitch sanchez did win the first round in my eyes
Ok, so Tyson Griffin wasn't trying to end the fight with repeated blows to the guy's face? Are you giving more points to the guy that repeatedly had plenty of chances of a submission yet was remotely no where near a successful one than to a guy that was pounding the crap out of the other guy? Just because this is MMA doesn't mean subs are better than blows and should be given more points for unsuccessful sub attempts. Should a guy get points for a unsuccessful superman punches? I'm sure they're trying to end the fight with that too.

I'm going on a limb we will never see chuck vs wandy in our life time
Chuck "the beer belly" Liddell is finished. Wanderlei would destroy him, and IMO W Silva is the best out of the Chute Boxe camp, not Shogun. Both the Rua brothers lost this month, Ninja lost his belt to Lawler on Elite XC just last week.

Is it just me or do the losers of last night look out of shape (Liddell & Rua)???

Mauricio "Shogun" Rua used to do 10 minute rounds with no problem, and he was breathing heavy at the 7:50 mark this fight and ready to give up. Same with Chuck... these guys forgot about conditioning!

I was at the fight and Rua looked pathetic (nothing like his fights in Pride- didn't even look like the same guy- not as aggressive, not as powerful). Also, every time it looked like Chuck had the edge he slowed up. These guys need to put down the gloves and hit the track...

All the fights on the card were all great. Chuck needs to re-evaluate his fighting game plan. Hopefully we'll see him win fights on the ground for a change. Forrest Griffin + extreme couture = a success. It was lovely seeing Forrest fight the way he did against Shogun.

Another win for the Sacramento native Tyson Griffin!!!!

^ I'm not sure it was the unthinkable exactly cuz Mauricio Rua looked like shit and nothing like his old self... the guy was huffin and puffin 2 min into the first round. I was at the fight and I honestly thought a lot of other fighters could have whooped his ass the way he looked..

kudos to Griffin though
