shit silva has a good ground game but matt linland will prolly over shoot get get his self ktfo but overall I will love to see this fight happen
He has never submitted anyone, and 2 of his 3 losses were by submission.
I know ground isn't all submission, but I'm just saying. Plus, usually you have to get the take down to initially be effective on the ground, and Silva can't take anyone down. He is a striker. ALL of his wins are by way of strikes. His ground game isn't horrible, but anyone with standard BJJ and minor wrestling skills will clown him on the floor.

Of coarse silva has took down fighters.... just cuz he is a striker does not mean that is his only tool....for gods sake this is mma... you need to watch some of his cage rage fights...and just cuz he never submitted anyone does not mean he is not capable of submitting another fighter. Look what happened to leban trying to strike and he even tried to take anderson down in that fight and could not...

He is a striker first and foremost. He has been tapped by silly subs that he should have been able to defend. His fight with Ryo, a legit BJJ Blackbelt would never get caught with that. He is very much like Wand who also only has subs from strikes. Great fighter no doubt but he has shown weakness on the ground. I thought Franklin would have took him down, he didnt and now his nose looks like Olaf.

silva was not a bjj blackbelt back when he fought chonan and takase back then... the nogueira bros gave him his bjj blackbelt because he was giving them problems on the ground and they are better than him on the ground. Even before the franklin fight he said that he was going to concentrate on his ground game alot more.

Well, without doing in depth research I will just take your word for it. The UFC site just talks about his punching...and on TUF1 (which I really don't follow TUF to well in general) I remember him just being some skater punk with a background of getting into fights at school. Kos clowned him, but Kos is a real wrestler.

Either way...not a big deal. What I would like to see is Silva vs Sakara

Leben is/was a Team Quest guy . He is a striker first and will use his wrestling when it suites him. I have been wasted with him, he knows how to party. He would actually probably be a better fighter if he used his ground game more, but he likes to KO peps and against Anderson its a wreck.

As for Anderson his loss to Ryo was not even 2 years ago. To be a legit BJJ Black Belt it takes years to get it. I question his ground skills very much. If he gets better on the ground he will be dangerous for a one dimensional ground guy like Lindland. That being said I hope to never see that or any other Matt Lindland fight again. All though his recent win over Horn was impressive even though it was a flash KO.

THAT LEG LOCK ANDERSON GOT CAUGHT IN WAS A DESPERATION SUB, CHONAN PULLED OUT OF HIS ASS. I DOUBT HE EVER GETS CAUGHT IN SOMEHTING LIKE THAT. I THINK ANDERSON WILL ONLY LOSE IF A GOOD WRESTLER JUST GROUNDS AND POUNDS HIM TO A DECISION.
