if you get a chance watch Pride Fighting on PPV sunday at 6:00 and tell me if hes on the same level as Ninja Rua or Wanderlei Silva or Kazushi Sukaraba, or Mirko Cro Cop. ohh by the way shamrock fought twice in the last 2 years in pride and got smoked both times!!!!

did yall see when tank fought that hawaian dude and knocked him down and landed on his face with a wwf single axe handle and gave dude super nerve damage and his armas and legs got all stiff and stuck in the air pointing at a 45 degree angle. that was the funniest fight i seen in the ufc's except when gary goodridge put 12 elbows in 3 seconds on some little dudes temple and FUCKED HEEM UP!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that shit makes me crack up whenever i think about it

I'm fully aware of the ability Ortiz had and I'm a fan, but i would've never thought he would beat Shamrock...the only way that Tank could beat Tito is if Tito gets careless and Tank lands one on him straight on his jaw...

I don't know if I was impressed with Tito's skill so much as I was unimpressed with Shamrock's. Ken was clearly fatigued in the first round. With such poor conditioning he had no chance of beating Ortiz. I can't take the win away from Tito though. He established his dominance over "The World's Most Dangerous Man."

Here's the deal . . . I am a huge Tank Abbot fan. I've been hooked since his first interview in UFC, "I'm Tank Abbot and I'm here to kick someone's ass." But am I the only one who saw him hobble down to the ring? Come on people! He's going to get his ass handed to him. He's past his prime as a UFC fighter and will only tarnish his image by trying to step back into the octagon with today's fighters. Ken Shamrock was in FAR better shape than Tank will ever hope to be; we all saw what happened to Ken. Anyone who thinks Abbot is going to do anything in the ring, other than take a monumental beating, is fooling themselves.

I just got back from Vegas and watched the Pride tape. First I gotta say that the UFC was awesome. I messed up and got a little to drunk for everything to sink in. There were fighters everywhere, and most were cool to talk to. THe arena was packed, most of the people didnt know jack but were happy to walk around in their tapout shirts. I was impressed again by Hughes,Newton,Tito, and my boy Liddell. I hated to see my guy Ian Freeman go down. Liddell showed he is ready for Tito. I think they will bring Tank in to fight some bums and maybe bring in Dan Severn or another old UFC name. Tank has usually come out on the losing end of things but with mutant power he is fun to watch. The Pride show was good, the Sakuraba match almost looked worked though. Arona beat Rua in a suprise to some. Randlemans knees were destructive. I would put Tito in against anyone in the world at his weight class. He might not win, but he would hold a good acount against all of them. I think Liddell and Silva would beat him though.

same here i think he would give a real good showing but might come up a little short. tito is a top fighter. but wanderlie silva is a freakin monster..

Big E how did you see randleman. after his 1st fight in the pride i thought he might be washed up, but he was very impressive in his fight last week. i would like to see him step it up a notch and fight a quality opponent though. i think he still needs to adjust to the pride rules. he had several and i mean several opportunities to knee to the head with devastating effect but didnt until the last round at which time he ended it with that killer double knee. ooch i even felt the pain from those knees from my sofa!!!

well i think lidell would give tito a good fight which either/or can win but i think lidell has the advantage.

now as for wanderlei silva. there is noone under heavyweight (probly not many heavyweights for that matter) that can beat him. noone!!! that dude is a freakin monster!!!

Randleman doesn need to step it up in comp, and your 100 % right, those knees were there for him all through the 1st round. And as soon as he started throwing them the fight was over. His big problem is that he has a weak jaw and is willing to trade punches. As we all saw when he fought Liddell he got caught and the fight was over. I know Liddell is a great grappler in his own right, but Randleman should be taking these guys down and pounding them. Prides rules should be suited well for him.

As for my seats, I was supposed to get a press pass to the event. Zuffa felt that because I was writing for a Boxing website that I wasnt a top priority, so I got jacked. I bought two $60 dollar seats that werent the greatest but we had a large overhead TV right in front of us. So I figured that I didnt have to write a story or anything, so I might as well drink, I shot the beer man a twoomp so that everytime he saw me he would get me two and all I had to do was cut to the front and pay him, so I was wasted by the end of the fights. I kinda regret it, but I got the fight on tape.

As for Silva and Liddell beating Tito. I would say that Tito's best chance would come against Chuck, and I would only give him an outside chance against the Ax Muderer. For him to beat Vanderlai, he would have to trade punches with him and catch him and them jump on it. Vanderlai has been stunned in fights and we all remember his fight against Vitor. Actually I would give Chuck a better chance against Silva than Tito, but thats why they say styles make fights.

Oh yeah, Vanderlai has become a much better fighter since then. Poor Vitor has fallen off badly. I still think the only way to beat Silva is at his own game, going out and brawling, if you can catch him and stun him good, then you gotta jump on him and finsih him off. It sounds easy, but nobody can do it so far. But you look at Silvas recent fights and he has been stunned good a few times. I hear that Tito hand is hurt so we will see how long he will be out.
