Rampage actually looked better than I thought he would, but he has fallen into the chuck liddell syndrome of being one dimensional ( lets be real hes been like for along time ) and easy to predict. I think Rogan was right and if Rampage mixed up his kicks so more he would have alot more success in ending fights like he used to.

@TTF: i'd think it'd be legal to kick him so but not sure.

ok bones needs to drop weight and fight silva. evans is going to get smashed against bones. machida might use his kung fu boolchit for a second but bones got him too. i need to see a super fight go down.

i was thinking, at the start of the fight, if rampage kicked jones in the face when he was in that weird stance, that would be legal right? i mean his knees were not on the floor
Nope.. That's a strike to a downed opponent.. Dumb rule.. But his had was on the ground, which makes him a downed opponent.. That why when people are in clinches put there hand on the mat, cuz then they can't be kneed in the head.

So how exactly is Rashad supposed to beat Jon Jones? Rashad is just as 1 dimensional as Rampage standing up(don't let that head kick KO on Salmon fool you), he's smaller than Rampage and he already fights leaning way back.

Jones cannot drop weight either.. Hes thin as shit at 205.. He'll never be able to cut an additional 20 pounds.. If that fight ever happens, it'll be at 205, but it won't happen until Jones has beaten Rashad, Shogun/Hendo winner and Machida.

He could put him on his back.. Rashad is a more decorated wrestler. We've never seen Jones underneath a wrestler, and from what Rashad said in camp, Jones couldn't get up when they trained together when Shad was on top of him.

To get Jones downs means you have to get close enough to touch him. Won't happen. Plus Jones has amazing wrestling too so cancel that. Ryan Bader didn't even come close to pulling off a takedown.

guess you're right, i thougth it was only a downed opponent if both knees were on the floor
Agree aswell, its a dumb rule

Rashad is twice as fast as Bader.. Plus has better striking to work in.. And its not like its hard to get close to him.. How many times were him and rampage hugging.. Those are all opportunities for takedowns for Rampage. He's gonna want to avoid Shad's power too.. Jones's doesn't have power unless its his elbows on the ground, then he's vicious...

If Rashad clinches with Jones as much as Rampage did he will go flying. Rampage is way stronger and bigger than Rashad. Rashad is truthfully a 185er fighting at 205. And his striking is nowhere near good enough to get inside. I just don't see it. Rashad will get tooled worst than Rampage.
